erolg | morning all o/ | 09:08 |
erolg | peschk_l, do you know a way to store os service notifications in gnocchi ? | 09:08 |
peschk_l | erolg: morning o/ | 09:13 |
peschk_l | erolg: I guess you could create a custom resource type, and update ceiloemter's config files in order to create/update the right resources | 09:14 |
peschk_l | https://github.com/openstack/ceilometer/blob/master/ceilometer/publisher/data/gnocchi_resources.yaml | 09:15 |
peschk_l | https://github.com/openstack/ceilometer/blob/master/ceilometer/data/meters.d/meters.yaml | 09:15 |
peschk_l | https://github.com/openstack/ceilometer/blob/master/ceilometer/pipeline/data/event_definitions.yaml | 09:16 |
peschk_l | erolg: I'd double check with the telemtry team though, to know if they have any extra advice | 09:16 |
erolg | peschk_l, Yes I already done that. But seems that ceilometer don't publish data to gnocchi | 09:17 |
erolg | https://github.com/openstack/ceilometer/blob/master/ceilometer/publisher/gnocchi.py#L482 | 09:17 |
peschk_l | erolg: I think it's supposed to be called here: https://github.com/openstack/ceilometer/blob/2cc9bc7faaeefe88bb47afca5befe1347894e762/ceilometer/pipeline/event.py#L90 | 09:19 |
erolg | peschk_l, sorry, you are right. I tried to say, I think publish_events method is not fully implemented for gnocchi. It just create or delete resources (ex. floating ip resource) on gnocchi, dont sent event as a metric. idk, maybe I'am going wrong. I just run ceilometer with master source code. I can't get metrics of notifications | 09:38 |

kaiokmo | hello cloudkitty folks. I was reading the cloudkitty docs and it says that metric collection can be done through openstack gnocchi or monasca | 13:41 |
kaiokmo | I was wondering if it is possible to collect metrics through for example collectd+influxdb | 13:42 |
peschk_l | erolg: I see... I'm not sure how to do this though.. Have you reach out to the telemetry people ? | 13:44 |
erolg | peschk_l, no :/ | 13:45 |
peschk_l | kaikomono: It is not possible yet. However, an InfluxDB collector should be quite easy to create, and I'd be glad to help you with that :) | 13:45 |
erolg | peschk_l, I wrote a few times to telemetry channel. But I can't get any response | 13:46 |
