mrcircaHello, i have a question. Can Kata-containers run VMs with and without containers? I know that VMs aims for extra security layer for container. Can someone create a standalone qemu kvm virtual machine with debian and run whatever?17:30
gwhaleyhi mrcirca - not really. kata is not designed to do that. technically there is probably little stopping it, but the code paths are just not there - it expects to get handed and run a container image etc.17:32
davidgilukmrcirca: what case are you thinking of where that would fit with kata?17:41
mrcircadavidgiluk: I want run vms and containers together17:42
mrcircawith one management tool17:42
mrcircalike kubvirt17:42
davidgilukOK, that's what I was going to suggest17:43
davidgilukmrcirca: I think the answer is that you run k8s with kubevirt for your trad VMs and kata for your secure containers and manage them all from your favorite k8s tools17:44
mrcircaThank you for your answer :)17:58
