kata-irc-bot | <itskumaresan> Hello everyone, Good day to you. When I explore the possibilities of VM Templating and VM Cache, I found stunk with these 2 issues, *Problem 1*: Installed kata-runtime (2.x) manually, configured containerd and kata and managed to make it work with kata runtime v2.x. However, when enabling vm_cache, hello-world is not able to work properly as compared to the screenshot without vm_cache Note that I'm using virtio-9p instead of | 07:48 |
kata-irc-bot | virtiofs as vm_cache option did not create any cache if virtiofs is used *Problem 2*: Using similar configuration, after enabling VM template, and disabling VM cache, kata runtime still complain that initrd is not defined Manual installation followed: https://github.com/kata-containers/kata-containers/blob/main/docs/install/container-manager/containerd/containerd-install.md The config file updated under , | 07:48 |

kata-irc-bot | <feng.wang> We are start seeing `Timeout after 3s waiting for uevent VirtioBlkPciMatcher` occasionally (happens on large Azure instances). Is it expected that it can take more than 3 seconds for the virtio blk device to show up in the guest? What would be the reasons? Also, it appears the hotplug timeout is configurable but I didn’t find it in the configuration file. Just want to confirm whether it is configurable. Thanks! | 17:33 |
kata-irc-bot | <jakob.naucke> re configuration: I think you're looking for `agent.hotplug_timeout=<seconds>` on the kernel cmdline | 17:37 |
kata-irc-bot | <feng.wang> ahh…I see. Thanks! | 17:39 |
