derekokeeffe85 | Hi all, trying to set up Barbican with Thales HSM. I have configured a test client that can see the partition that exists on the HSM. I did this to familiarise myself with it before I do it for Barbican. The issue I have is the libdpod.plugin doesn't exist when the client is set up so I won't have it for Barbican. There's plugins called libcloud.plugin and lnh_slots.plugin. Just wondering has the name changed since the instructions were | 10:36 |
derekokeeffe85 | written or do I need the libdpod.plugin | 10:36 |
jrosser | noonedeadpunk: jammy -> https://download.ceph.com/debian-18.1.0/dists/ | 12:01 |
mgariepy | better late than never! | 12:48 |
jrosser | well hilariously its 'early' as Reef isnt released yet | 12:54 |
jrosser | and still no quincy packages for jammy | 12:54 |
jrosser | so it's kind of hold-on-tight whilst upgrading focal->jammy and pacific->reef in one step | 12:55 |
mgariepy | ho. i tough it was quincy haha | 12:56 |
jrosser | though i guess no excuses any more about not having jammy build capability | 12:56 |
mgariepy | cephadm .. | 12:56 |
* jrosser still resisting that | 12:57 | |
hamburgler3 | jrosser: resistance is futile :) - truthfully it works quite well - have built a cephadm integrated ceph role in ansible for our environment - not cephadm-ansible that is missing far too many features and functionality | 13:55 |
mgariepy | hamburgler3, is it shared on git somewhere? | 13:56 |
hamburgler3 | at the moment it is internal to our company only - I would be happy to bring up with my team to see if we can share it though I think that may not be the case :( | 13:58 |
jrosser | maybe if we were starting from scratch it would not feel so hard | 14:00 |
jrosser | but what amounts to an offline install needing mirrors of *, no concept of a deploy host being separate behind a bastion, not working with how we have ssh setup | 14:01 |
jrosser | and i just looked again at how we might set up the 3 sets of rgw we have, each set with unique config, i just don't know | 14:02 |
hamburgler3 | yeah truthfully it would be quite difficult to integrate - ours works outside of osa now though we still rely on the ceph-client role to fetch keys/confs | 14:05 |
noonedeadpunk | jrosser: no way this is true.... | 15:35 |
noonedeadpunk | can;t belive my eyes :D | 15:35 |
noonedeadpunk | but actually, as expected, that's version that;s not present in ubuntu repos by default | 15:35 |
jrosser | i asked in the ceph slack if they are going to fill in the gap for jammy/quincy but like tumbleweed so far | 15:35 |
noonedeadpunk | yeah, I don't think it will be to be frank | 15:38 |
noonedeadpunk | as that looks quite planned to me. not sure why to not state this clearly though | 15:39 |
jrosser | annoying as they have like previous 3 releases build for el9 | 15:46 |
noonedeadpunk | can't agree more on that... | 15:47 |
noonedeadpunk | I guess that's because they use el9 image for cephadm | 15:48 |
