scasclient import is done. thanks frickler!13:23
scasin the import process, it was found that client never had a stable/pike branched, so i cut the branch at the last commit prior to the 'beginning queens development' patch13:26
scasi'd love to go around and pick up some of the orphaned cookbooks that got dropped at our doorstep, like ec2api, but i read over it and i forget if it's post-mitaka13:28
scasit says chef 11 :/13:28

scasi played with the berksfile, and without overloading it with regexp fun to handle openstackclient versus openstack-block-storage, i've opted for the least coding option. it's by no means a reflection of the quality of my ruby, just laziness14:42

scasit's either change what's being matched, or regexp for not much payoff14:43
scasbalancing the can versus should, i opted to change the matched strings14:44
scasonce everything is fully onto supermarket, it can be mostly deprecated for a metadata.rb that pulls in depends, in which case, cookbook_openstack all over again14:44
scasthe irony being that openstack-chef _was_ called the 'openstack' cookbook, back in the early days14:45
