MrClayPole_Hi, I have 3 cinder services with the same host name. I need to remove 2 of the 3 due to them being decommissioned but how do I target the cinder-manage service remove to only the 2 I want to remove? 16:26
*** amoralej is now known as amoralej|off16:27
sfv880_Hello MrClayPole_! You can disable these cinder services in the cinder config file and then remove services using the 'cinder-manage service remove cinder-volume service_name' command.16:29
MrClayPole_But how can I be sure the cinder-manage command won't target the the I want to keep? 16:30
MrClayPole_I did try openstack volume service set --disable and it disabled the one I wanted to kept and not one of the 2 I've already decommissioned. 16:33
sfv880_MrClayPole_: you can remove all cinder-volume services and just restart cinder-volume service - it will create the service again.16:56
sfv880_I mean system cinder-volume service (via systemctl restart)16:57
MrClayPole_sfv880_: Thanks, I didn't know they got recreated on cinder-volume restart. I'll test it tomorrow :)17:55
abdi /msg simondodsley Apologies for the private note.  Trying to quickly resolve your note on  I've added a comment.  Could you please check and respond.  Thank you.19:09
opendevreviewCarlos Eduardo proposed openstack/devstack-plugin-ceph master: [WIP] Change libntirpc version
simondodsleyadbi: your third-party CI has to test all patches to both the cinder project and the os-brick project. This is not about running the latest os-brick in your devstack. You need to configure Zuul to run agains t both those projects19:12
abdisimondodsley.  Is there documentation you can point me to for testing against the os-brick project? I have not done this before and I am not clear what I need to do to enable this.19:14
simondodsleyabdi: currently your CI only seems to run against your own patch. You have to configure zuul to run against all cinder patches and os-brick. I'm not able to tell you how to configure your zuul. I think that rosmaita can help you with more details19:25
simondodsleyabdi: try here
abdisimondodsley My CI running against only my patch is currently intentional.  Since I was getting the 2 iSCSI failures i reported in the patch, I wanted to first ensure the review would accept the identified root cause before enabling for all patches.  It's os-brick i have no experience with testing with CI yet.  Thanks for the link.  I'll check it out.19:29
abdisimondodsley.  Upon review of that link, I am familiar with that page.  It is light on os-brick test guidance. I'll keep digging.  Thanks. 19:34
