TheJulia | Any objections to a dib release? | 14:18 |
---|---|---|
clarkb | skimming the commit log seems like that should be fine. Probably the biggest change is the efi stuff for partitioned images? | 14:49 |
clarkb | looks like a tag of 3.33.0 should be safe/appropriate | 14:50 |
TheJulia | Yeah, had someone ping me on linked in that Centos 9 Stream is not working and I believe that is one of the fixes pending release. | 14:53 |
clarkb | opendev's centos-9-stream builds are working according to our dashboard | 14:54 |
clarkb | centos 8 stream is not because they deleted all the packages on monday | 14:54 |
clarkb | whatever their failre is I don't think it is centos 9 that is broken. But could be something specific to how they build centos 9 | 14:55 |
clarkb | looks like ianw did the last release. I'm pretty sure I have permissions to push the tags I just need to figure out resurrecting my gpg key out of cold storage | 14:56 |
clarkb | unlikely that happens today with the other stuff I've committed to, but I may be able to figure that out tomorrowish | 14:57 |
TheJulia | if your doing a whole disk image, 3.32 doesn't work | 14:59 |
TheJulia | clarkb: okay, if you achieve it, that would be awesome. | 14:59 |
TheJulia | ... at this point, I'd have to make a new key | 15:00 |
TheJulia | it has been a very long time | 15:00 |
clarkb | ya I changed portable secret data practices and the one thing that fell off the radar was gpg key stuff since keepassxc doesn't manage those for me. This means I have to go to backups for the old keys and pull the gpg data out of there. I have it all its just a matter of finding it and putting it in the right place and making sure the old tools still work for me | 15:01 |
ianw | i pushed 3.33.0 :) my confusion is generally that i've taken to signing commits with my ssh key, since github/gitlab show those commits with a tick that it comes from your sign-in account, so you've got to manually revert the tag flags to use the gpg key | 22:53 |
ianw | (i haven't really thought too much about this, but a combination of public ssh key publishing and a multipath identity authentication via keyoxide seems like a decent way to build web-of-trust, to me) | 22:55 |
clarkb | ianw: thanks! I should still go through resurrecting my key tomorrow but that simplifies things for dib in the near future | 22:56 |
