shermanmbtw, I noticed that the "tested distribution" docs point to what I think's an old version of the nodepool docker image14:06
shermanmhttps://docs.openstack.org/diskimage-builder/latest/user_guide/supported_distros.html14:06
clarkbyes that link should be updated to point to the quay.io location now15:20
shermanmis the "latest" tag on the quay.io/zuul-ci/nodepool-builde image correct to use? I noticed that the 10.0.0 , etc. tags there were quite old15:25
clarkb10.0.0 is the most recent release. Nodepool isn't completely static but it also doesn't get tons of big changes these days. OpenDev deploys latest (we deploy new things from zuul and nodepool to act like a canary)15:26
clarkblooks like the docker hub image in the docs there was using latest so I wouldn't change that15:27
clarkbfor dib purposes this should be fine since we're installing releases of dib15:27
clarkb(it matters more if you are deploying nodepool for nodepool services)15:27
shermanmgotcha, I was mostly looking to pull in things like new-enough debootstrap for ubuntu noble, wasn't sure if an 8 month old image would have that15:28
shermanmthe "latest" tag in docker hub seems to be 2+ years old unfortunately https://hub.docker.com/layers/zuul/nodepool-builder/latest/images/sha256-53d42307bc578c79e4330ac8303c372d7fac40e0f5a0105c4147b63fa02a9995?context=explore 15:30
clarkbyes those images stopped publishing to docker hub15:31
clarkbwhen docker hub changed their policies15:31
clarkbI'll hae a patch up omentarily15:33
