spotzSo while we were meeting one of the dogs picked up a mini chicken pot pie that was cooling on the counter and ate it:)18:34
spotzSo much for having leftovers for dinner tomorrow!18:35
fungii bet that's one happy puppy though!18:36
SWDevAngelAwwwww. (And phew.... when I first read that I was afraid you were going to say the dog got a mini chicken!!!)18:41
spotzWe lost one chicken the first day we had Josie but after we told her no with her on a leash she now gives them a wide bertth. I think it had just surprised her in her new home18:42
spotzAnd yeah fungi he's very happy. I know it was him as he's the only one who picks up plates18:43
SWDevAngel@Fungi and @Spotz I really like the idea of including D/I as a component of the community meeting. Not just once, but for every meeting. In my opinion we're not building the strongest community if we're not including D/I initiatives proactively, as history has shown it doesn't happen on its own.18:43
SWDevAngelOMGosh poor chicken!18:43
SWDevAngelI'm amazed that you were able to train that behavior out of the dog though. I had a golden retriever a few years ago who was the sweetest, most gentle thing, but got a hold of a neighbor's chicken and it was game over in seconds. (To be fair to the dog, the chicken flew over the fence and landed in the dog run where she was chilling.)18:45
SWDevAngelSuper unfortunate series of events but I think I was most shocked that she even had it in her. So weird. You think you know your dog...18:45
SWDevAngel"picks up plates"? As in, he does the dishes after he eats! LOL!18:47
SWDevAngelAre you sure it wasn't husband? ;)18:48
spotzHe will carry them off yeah. He picked it up from his Aunt when he was a puppy18:50
megheisleroh my gosh, I’ve seen plenty of dogs eat off a plate but don’t think I’ve seen one carry a plate off18:52
spotzYeah they'll carry bowls small salad plates, and now apparently mini pie pans. Just lucky it wasn't a dessert with artificial sweeteners in it though at 60+ lbs he'd probably be ok with a single serving of something though I don't like to give them any18:54
spotzIt was good though, I'll make them again:)18:55
fungiand the dog is in favor of this plan18:59
spotzhehehe18:59
SWDevAngelLOL!19:02
