kklimondaHi, I'm trying to understand the relation between designate, neutron and nova - by defaults, when setting zone_id for both nova and neutron handlers, all ports get an IP address in the specified zone, leaking that information between projects. That also requires either delegating the zone to our DNS servers directly. Is designate in any way replaces neutron dnsmasq-based "tenant-level" (well, network-level) dns service?16:21
mugsiekklimonda: no, we do authoritive DNS16:45
mugsieso, you would need to delegate the xone to the designate managed DNS servers16:45

kklimondamugsie: in my deployment, internal ports (from tenant networks) are registered in designate zone - I’m assuming this is done for some specific setup, can this be disabled in nova or neutron? Not setting zone_id for nova handler ended up spamming my logs with “Invalid UUID” errors, probably designate was trying to convert an empty zone_id into uuid to fetch it from database.16:49
mugsiekklimonda: you can disable designate-sink16:50
mugsieit is not needed if you don't need that setup16:50
