gueswhat | guys? can anyone help? i am kinda confused, if i have a internal network, do i need to create a dns server inside that network ( bind, pdns ) and then use designate to sync zones to this server via pools ? i am not exactly sure what this https://docs.openstack.org/neutron/latest/admin/config-dns-int-ext-serv.html is. This will help only with autocreating records for instances, right? | 09:39 |
jrosser_ | gueswhat: from what you write here and in #openstack i think you're asking about internal dns? designate is for placing records into your own dns infrastructure (bind..., whatever). There is also this for neutron networks only https://docs.openstack.org/neutron/latest/admin/config-dns-int.html for what would default to the 'openstacklocal' domain. It's done with dnsmasq internally in neutron. | 10:02 |
