elodillesit seems that openstack-tox-py313 is broken in requirements and many other repos. it started to fail around 2026-01-16 afternoon. and what changed is that prior that time the job ran under ubuntu-noble, but now it runs on debian-trixie10:05
elodilleswas that change intentional?10:06
elodillesfrickler: ^^^ do you know anything about this? ^10:06
elodillesah, i see, there's the patch: https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/openstack-zuul-jobs/+/97003610:38
ralonsohelodilles, I think the problem and the fix is described here: https://github.com/ytti/oxidized/issues/363611:35
ralonsohso we would need to install "libssl-dev libssh2-1-dev libzstd-dev" first11:35
elodillesralonsoh: i'm trying if this helps for requirements: https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/requirements/+/97378211:41
elodilleswe might not need libpcre3-dev anyomre11:41
elodilless/anyomre/anymore11:41
ralonsohelodilles, thanks for the patch, checking the results11:42
elodilleslocally py313 job passed with it11:42
ralonsohelodilles, it did too in the CI11:45
elodilles+111:46
elodillesunfortunately there are old bionic based jobs on requirements' .zuul.yaml, and that job fails11:47
elodillesplus i think the patch does not need to be on top of the 'whereto' version bump patch, which initially thought it need11:48
ralonsohwhy this patch should affect the bionic job?11:48
elodillesit does not11:52
elodillesbut that old job is still present and now it fails11:53
fricklerthe switch to trixie was intentional, yes, and such fallout was expected, I started a similar fix for OSC yesterday. if things seem too severely broken, I think we could revert to noble for specific repos as a temporary measure11:53
elodillesralonsoh: i've updated the patch, i hope this will now pass and unblock requirements' gate11:53
elodillesfrickler: ACK, thanks. probably no need for the revert, if the gates can be fixed with a similar patch that just simply skips the non-existent packages under debian-trixie11:55
*** jgilaber_ is now known as jgilaber12:08
kinruielodilles: we need to drop bionic based jobs, they require an eol ansible version that zuul will be dropping support for very soon, so we need to remove those nodes from opendev soon too13:23
elodilleskinrui: ACK, thanks for the heads up. i've also chose to drop bionic based job from requirements' gate, based on the bionic EOL13:27
kinruioh, why did my nick switch?13:31
fungithat's better13:35
fungioftc must have been doing maintenance and rebooted servers with nickserv offline because somehow my cert-based auth got ignored13:36
elodilles:-o13:37
