rpittau | good morning ironic! o/ | 06:23 |

rpittau | TheJulia: hi! for the ipa-builder "no space left on device" issue looks like the problem happens in chroot, but I can't see where the chrooted dir size is defined, if there's any | 08:06 |
rpittau | the total disk space is 80 gb, so I don't think the problem is in the host itself, I can't reproduce it locally with a 60gb disk | 08:06 |
iurygregory | morning Ironic | 11:38 |
TheJulia | rpittau: dib's chroot would be on /tmp | 13:07 |
TheJulia | I think | 13:07 |
rpittau | TheJulia: yes, I was checking that and it's mounted on tmpfs | 13:10 |
rpittau | so I guess we need to increase the size there, so more RAM ? | 13:11 |
rpittau | otherwise I think there's an option to avoid using tmpfs | 13:11 |
rpittau | DIB_NO_TMPFS | 13:11 |
rpittau | didn't dig into that though, just found it | 13:11 |
TheJulia | yeah, I'd look at that option | 13:24 |
TheJulia | to be honest | 13:24 |
opendevreview | Riccardo Pittau proposed openstack/ironic-python-agent-builder master: Move ubuntu jobs to jammy https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/ironic-python-agent-builder/+/879538 | 14:05 |
Sandzwerg[m] | soo I had node stuck in deleting, restarted the conductor and now it's in error. According to the state machine rebuild is the only option to get out of that, but that complains about "failed to validate deploy image info. .. missing are: [' instance_info.image_source' ]" and yeah that is probably not set but IIRC there was no instance on that node. Or which command would trigger a "deleted (via API)" because it is not delete, I | 14:11 |
Sandzwerg[m] | know that :P | 14:11 |
TheJulia | stuck in deleting... | 14:31 |
TheJulia | ... | 14:31 |
TheJulia | the odds of that seems super low.... | 14:31 |
TheJulia | you should be able to ask for it to be undeployed again or use the provision_state verb "deleted" i.e. openstack baremetal node undeploy $node_uuid | 14:34 |
Sandzwerg[m] | ah undeploy is what I was looking for. I should remember that used it often enough. Not sure why it was stuck in deleting | 14:46 |
TheJulia | we should likely add an "official" alias into the state machine | 14:47 |
TheJulia | just so it might be less confusing | 14:47 |
TheJulia | because I bet if you saw "undeploy", you would have gone "oh!" | 14:48 |
rpittau | good night! o/ | 15:58 |
Sandzwerg[m] | Oh yes, adding the command names instead of the API state would be really helpful | 16:07 |
TheJulia | hmmm, I was more thinking a hacky alias | 16:07 |
TheJulia | but yeah, that would be better | 16:07 |
TheJulia | and more realistic to do now | 16:07 |
Sandzwerg[m] | at one point I thougt that deleted maps to the delete command but, ~it does not :D It still solved my state problem but in a unexpected way | 16:08 |
TheJulia | The code that does the state machine diagram needs some work as well :( | 16:21 |
TheJulia | I went to regenerate it in one of my patch sets and felt great sadness | 16:21 |
