TheJuliacardoe: feels like a ptg topic to me, but we don’t actively… really.. ship enabled by default iLO drivers06:32
opendevreviewnidhi proposed openstack/sushy master: Add comprehensive PCIe function support to Sushy  https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/sushy/+/96268010:01
cardoeTheJulia: well just saying we have a drivers-requirements.txt which says what ilo needs and it’s wrong.11:57
TheJuliaSure, I guess my concern or thought is a step back towards the big picture. Then again I know ilo is used in some shops, but should we continue to ship it is a question on my mind given I don’t think they are likely to clean up the issue. Furthermore, it feels wrong dependency wise, although vendors do weird things at times.13:02
cardoeBelieve me. I’ll take “Things I don’t want to spend any cycles on for $200 Alex”13:03
JayFproliantutils is effectively abandoned. Only cycles we should spend is retirement, and I say that as a shop that still uses that for some straggler nodes 13:25
JayFUnless we had consensus to internalize and modernize that code13:26
iurygregoryso far ilo machines are ok with redfish interfaces, I don't think we would need to spend cycles in proliantutils.. but maybe it's just me14:18
cardoeSo I think the redfish ilo stuff depends on proliantutils for a couple of object definitions. I'd be happy if we pull those into sushy.14:45
