manuvakery1Hi All,.. I have been trying to upgrade octavia which is running on upstream train to rhosp 17.1 (wallaby). After upgrade  I can do all operations except creating and LB . The creation is stuck with pending_create status. I don't see any errors in logs. I can perform a failover of existing amphoras and its working fine. Not sure what I am missing. 17:03
manuvakery1In the log I see just /var/log/octavia/api.log:2024-10-09 09:29:39.212 78306 INFO octavia.api.drivers.amphora_driver.v1.driver [req-b4a1e512-d0ed-43f6-9a71-045f5e17c5d0 - 8a08c1f0cbd3481787d8187902cd985a - default default] Amphora provider created VIP port 7fb79567-266c-4949-ad07-3c2dbc872fb6 for load balancer e7cd84d7-7b31-4df2-8a20-3aaf7126ec83.17:03

manuvakery1No amphoras are spawned 17:04
johnsomWe previously had someone have this issue (though not with rhosp). Stop your controller worker processes on each controller and check that there are no old controller worker processes running on the controller. The last person still had old workers running that were attempting to consume the queue17:06
johnsomIf I remember it was a bug in kolla last time that failed to shut down the workers during upgrade17:06
manuvakery1thats a nice hint .. let me check on that17:07
opendevreviewMerged openstack/octavia master: Allow using non-default Redis database  https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/octavia/+/92370217:33
manuvakery1johnsom: thats spot on, an old worker was running, thanks a lot17:36
johnsomSure, NP17:37
