shivamyes08:06
shivamAs I mentioned, the topic "Eventlet Removal activity in Tacker - follow-up discussion on Patch Management" was already discussed in last Tacker IRC meeting on 22/06/2026.08:06
shivamAnd the discussion was related to decide approach for managing patches related to the removal of Eventlet references from Tacker.08:07
shivamAs some members have started working on their assigned category changes/migration, we would like to discuss how to manage and review patches for these changes, to avoid merge conflicts and dependency issues between categories.08:08
shivamTo avoid/minimize these problems such as merge conflicts and dependency issues between patches, one proposed approach is that "Each member raises a DNM patch for their category, validates it using 'Depends-On' between dependent categories, and once all are stable, everything is combined into a single final patch for review and merge."08:09
shivamDuring the last IRC meeting, some members agreed with this approach. However, I would also like to hear the thoughts of members who have assigned themselves to the Eventlet migration activities.08:11
shivamThank you.08:11
yasufumthanks08:12
yasufumany comment?08:13
hi-kobathank you.08:16
YuyaKunoNo comment from my side.08:16
hi-kobaI uploaded my patch to Gerrit recently, but I am not sure how to find patches uploaded by other members. How can we identify which patches are related to the Eventlet removal activity? In my case, I set the topic to `eventlet-removal`.08:16
hi-koba I think the proposed approach is good.08:17
yasufumhi-koba: I've just found your patch, but you need to fix failures before reviewing.08:19
yasufumAnyway, thank you for the update.08:20
hi-kobaIs it okay to use `eventlet-removal` as the topic?08:20
hi-kobaPlease let me know if my approach is wrong.08:21
shivamkoba-san, thanks. Yes, it is okay to use topic "eventlet-removal" . 08:21
shivamI think, this way it can be easily identified that which patch is related to eventlet removal activity.08:22
hi-kobayasufum: OK. Thanks for checking.08:23
hi-kobashivam: OK. thanks08:24
yasufumshivam: Is everything clear, or any other concern?08:27
shivamYes, everything is clear.08:28
yasufumthanks08:29
yasufumSo, today's topic is over. Let's close this meeting.08:31
yasufumThank you for joining, bye!08:31
