opendevreview | Merged openstack/releases master: Release neutron-lib 3.21.0. https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/releases/+/954611 | 12:09 |

opendevreview | Merged openstack/releases master: Release Neutron 27.0.0.0b1 (Neutron Flamingo beta 1) https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/releases/+/954702 | 12:34 |
frickler | release-team: afs error in https://zuul.opendev.org/t/openstack/build/efae434519884bf3b9710e29800ebcca , please don't do further releases until the cause for this is found | 12:39 |
frickler | hmm, too late for neutron I fear :( | 12:39 |
elodilles | /o\ | 13:08 |
elodilles | neutron's job seems to be green: https://zuul.opendev.org/t/openstack/build/3f6130bcebc74d5b88b8a4b96283d536 | 13:11 |
clarkb | following up here on the release failure caused by afs problems. The underlying issue seems to have been the during weekly updates and reboots (its the reboot that is more important) one of our 12 zuul executors starts its container before AFS was properly mounted. This meant the afs path in the container was a normal ext4 mount from the hosts / fs not the hosts AFS | 18:14 |
clarkb | filesystem | 18:14 |
clarkb | I have manually restarted that container and confirmed that afs seems to be mounted now and I proposed an update to our reboot process that waits for afs to mount before starting containers | 18:14 |
clarkb | I think you should be good to make releases again | 18:14 |
fungi | yeah, and now i'll work on fixing up the missing files from the tarballs site (publication to pypi seems to have happened before the job went slantways) | 18:21 |
fungi | neutron-lib 3.12.0 files are showing for me at https://tarballs.opendev.org/openstack/neutron-lib/ but it would be great if one of the release management folks can find time to run their check script and make sure nothing comes up wrong | 20:55 |
fungi | s/3.12.0/3.21.0/ | 20:55 |
clarkb | just thinking out loud here I suppose another option would've been to release 3.21.1 or 3.21.0-post0 | 21:15 |
clarkb | but I think what you did is fine | 21:16 |
