opendevreviewElod Illes proposed openstack/releases master: Add release note links for 2025.2 Flamingo (#4)  https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/releases/+/96258212:29
zigoHow come I can see Neutron for bobcat is released as 23.5.0 but there's no matching tag in the Neutron repo ?!?13:37
zigoAnd that's not the only example ...13:38
fricklerzigo: to me it is there, see also https://opendev.org/openstack/neutron/src/tag/23.5.0/13:39
elodilleszigo: it must be something in your local repository, i guess because the branch that contains the patch that has the commit, is deleted13:40
zigoOh, in that case, it's just github that's not up-to-date then !13:40
elodillesyepp, as frickler says. it's there13:40
zigoI use the github mirror because it's faster ...13:40
zigoNot even that... :/13:41
fricklerhmm, github has it, too? https://github.com/openstack/neutron/releases/tag/23.5.0 so how exactly did you check this? do you have a local git clone that was somehow pruned?13:44
zigoMy bad, I have it now.13:45
zigoSorry for the noise.13:45
zigoOk, there's the case for ironic-lib: https://github.com/openstack/ironic-lib/releases/tag/6.0.114:10
zigoThe tag is on opendev though...14:10
elodillesthis seems to be a cloning issue ^^^ as that tag is present on gitea, opendev.org14:17
elodillesit is probably good to notify infra team about such sync issue on github14:18
clarkbyou don't need the infra team to look into that. Its just a zuul job: https://zuul.opendev.org/t/openstack/builds?job_name=openstack-upload-github-mirror&project=openstack%2Fironic-lib&skip=014:53
clarkbthe infra team stopped supporting github mirroring years ago14:53
clarkbopenstack has opted into continuing to do it via the zuul jobs14:53
clarkbelodilles: zigo: in any case there is no refs/tags/6.0.1 openstack-upload-github-mirror job in that list of builds. That is likely the issue. It should self correct when the job runs next as it syncs the entire repo instead of specific refs but I think someone needs to track down why refs/tags/6.0.1 didn't trigger that job14:55
clarkblooks like the project is deprecated and its master branch is empty. My hunch is something about that process has impacted github replication15:01
elodillesclarkb: ironic-lib is retired and not present anymore since 2024.2 Dalmatian, so probably there won't be any trigger for the sync, if i understand correctly15:01
elodillesclarkb: yes, i have the same feeling15:02
opendevreviewElod Illes proposed openstack/releases master: Cap ruamel.yaml to 0.18.12  https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/releases/+/96260116:06

noonedeadpunkhey folks! Any chance I can cut an RC2 for some project for 2025.2 right away as use that for coordinated release?19:02
fricklernoonedeadpunk: iiuc it is too late for that, we shouldn't have to update https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/releases/+/962461 anymore. you can plan for a .1 release after tomorrow, though19:07
noonedeadpunkfwiw, this is regarding https://storyboard.openstack.org/#!/story/201153919:10
noonedeadpunkso timing is really unfortunate19:11
fricklernot the best timing, but if you can have a fixed release in 24h, that still seems ok to me. does the issue affect stable branches, too?19:50
noonedeadpunkyup19:51
noonedeadpunkyeah, I think I can get that... unless there're some unexpected CI failures on top of expected ones19:51
elodillesyeah, i agree with frickler . we are quite close to releasing flamingo, so even if we could process an rc2 right away would be a bit risky19:51
noonedeadpunksure, no problems19:52
elodilleswe also would suggest to not hurry a release right after the official coordinated release, rather be sure that the fix is adequate 19:53
elodillesand then do a stable release19:53
noonedeadpunkwell, the problem is that there are no other real reviewers on the project19:54
noonedeadpunkSo it;s more of self-confirmation, which is not ideal anyway19:55
elodillesyepp :/19:57
elodillesrelease team tend to give a couple of days quiet period before we let in stable releases to the newly released series, to have things settled, but given the circumstances the bug shows i guess we will try to process this early enough19:57
noonedeadpunkofc sleeping over and looking again at produced unit tests and code might be helpful...19:57
elodilles*i think*19:57
elodillesnoonedeadpunk: +119:57
