I log the connections that pass through the firewall and I ran out of space. The cause was that swift is running lots (in the order of thousands per second) rsync commands. Is this behaviour normal? clayg | lol - swiftstack_auth was once called simpleauth - but it turns out "simple" and "auth" never go together! | 19:09 |
anticw | likely true, minauth might also work ... and just claim it's as minimal as it can be | 19:13 |
clayg | anticw: swift used to ship with this thing called devauth (it was awesome!) - they problem is they all *start* out minimal and grow hairs - I think most folks feel like tempauth has grown too many :\ | 19:14 |
clayg | anticw: sorry to be so discouraging :'( | 19:14 |
anticw | clayg: devauth was in 1.4.x right? | 19:20 |

anticw | whatever was removed ... so, two sites i know run a forked version of that ... as a result of early 1.4.x/1.5.x deployments i had a hand in | 19:21 |
anticw | though i heard one of those actually switched to swauth after finding the middleware api updates frustrating and painful | 19:21 |
