admin0 | hi guys .. is it possible to use s3 as a backend, so that the proxy is from swift, but the actual data is in s3 or another s3 compatible provider or another swift ? | 10:55 |

mattoliverau | nope that isn't possible. One would need to write a s3 diskfile implementation or something for that to even kinda work. Would be a little like the swift-on-file work/project that used to exist. | 23:13 |
mattoliverau | The swiftstack guys (or now nvidia) have a onespace project that can be used to talk to s3 backends and Swift at the same time, so you can move your data around and you need too. maybe one could use that but have everything backed to s3. But no idea how supported or how well that'll work. | 23:15 |
