__ministryahsen: you can checkout to old version like pike and take some code handle for mongo to run. but it maybe not stable.03:04
__ministryIf you can wait, I will contribute for this again.03:04
__ministrylxkong: Current, when I create a backup  for instance but the backup will be create in swift storage of user's project. If user delete this container (aka database_backups), the creation new replicas or new instance will take an error. my itention is we will make a container by admin credentials. what do you think about it?03:10

lxkong__ministry: 1. the backup data should be accessible to the user. 2. The user should be charged  for the backup data.04:18
__ministryI was understand this problem, but i think if we make in user's project, we need make a warn user don't delete this container. and the charge, i think we still can do because openstack not care this.04:23
__ministryswift container also like nova instances, user must be charged for nova instances, containers and provider service.04:25

ahsen__ministry Thank you. It's not that necessary actually. I just wanted to know what I can and can't do with Trove. I can wait.07:19
__ministryahsen: You can restore code of lxkong was deleted or try run in older version such as train.07:21
lxkong__ministry: it's the user's responsibility to keep the container, it's mentioned in trove's doc, also should be mentioned in the cloud provider's doc.08:01
lxkongswift container doesn't like nova instance.08:02
lxkongtrove instance can be billed based on flavor/volume08:02
lxkongand one of the reasons that putting nova VM in service tenant is security, that's totally different with swift object data.08:03

ahsenlxkong In Victoria release, I tried to create PostgreSQL 12.4 database instance. The instance launched and postgres container is up. But It has this error. "could not connect to server: Connection refused Is the server running on host "localhost" (127.0.0.1) and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?" http://paste.openstack.org/show/803659/09:19
ahsenWhen I ssh instance I can connect database with "psql -h 127.0.0.1 -p 5432 -U postgres" command but it didn't create database and user. Do you have any idea why? Am I missing something? Or this is why in the document it says "partially supported"?09:19
lxkongpostgresql doesn't support creating db and users via trove API09:20
ahsenOK. Thanks09:20
lxkongahsen: np09:20
lxkongahsen, __ministry: May I know your intention of testing trove? Do you have plan to deploy Trove? In public cloud or private cloud? Or have you already deployed Trove?09:22
