openstackgerritFlavio Percoco proposed a change to openstack/zaqar: Add API support for flavors  https://review.openstack.org/10634607:58
AAzzaflaper87: I have two questions08:00
AAzzaflaper87: hi)08:00
flaper87AAzza: :D hey hey08:00
flaper87AAzza: shoot08:00
AAzzait is about this change in api-v1.1 reposnse - "When a collection resource is requested (i.e., queues, messages) and the  collection is empty, an empty JSON array is turned in the response  body, rather than HTTP 204 No Content"08:01
AAzzafor example for queues in the wiki the response will look like this https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Marconi/specs/api/v1.1#List_Queues08:01
AAzzaand the problem i faced is with next url, especially its marker field08:02
AAzzabecause what marker could be if there the listing is empty? or i should left the same marker it was in request?08:03
flaper87mmh, I guess you should return an empty links array too08:03
flaper87if there's no content just return an object with empty links and empty queues08:04
AAzzaflaper87: hmm, maybe...08:04
AAzzaflaper87: another one is connected to this and about your flavors api08:05
AAzzahttps://review.openstack.org/#/c/106346/16/zaqar/queues/transport/wsgi/v1_1/flavors.py08:05
AAzzashouldn't you also return empty and 200 instead of 204?08:05
flaper87yes, I didn't do it there because I'd like that change to happen all at once so we have a nicegit-history08:06
AAzzahmm, so it is better for me to wait with this my patch, while yours will be merged? so i could change it also08:07
AAzzai hope it doesn't take much time, so while i finish mine, yours will be merged08:09
flaper87AAzza: I'm planning to get that one merged today, it's ready, it just got stuck due to some un-related gate issues08:10
flaper87but I think we can get it merged today08:10
AAzzaflaper87: okey, then there will be no problems)08:11

kgriffssuppose you were to implement message storage nodes just using python and in-process python data structures. Driver would communicate with them using zmq. You can replicate in an active-active style. so 2-member memory-only pairs. should be crazy fast and actually pretty simple to implement. The tradeoff is durability. But if you have battery-backup and replicate to enough nodes, that would be less important (or some use ca15:35

staphaeguys I am seeing this problem whereby when I have two backend sql database zaqar fails to find the backend storage driver. Even though I have made no changes to my marconi.conf file.  The only difference is that I made a build, that now includes support for another database (MySqldb). Any insight?19:19

kgriffs(re that bug I filed)20:31
vkmcno, I said I couldn't set up the environment20:32
vkmcI guess it is because of a configuration option20:33

kgriffsflaper87: I think they are, but I haven't tracked performance against increasing load - as long as the curve is efficient enough, we will be sitting pretty good.20:57
flaper87kgriffs: awesome, it would be good to be explicit tha that this bench are not definitive and that we're still working on other scenarios20:58

kgriffsflaper87: btw, we need to publish a new version of the client to PyPi with the new name.21:02
