Eva-iHi. I'm trying to use this uri for mongodb management store: "uri = mongodb://mydb0.example-messages.net,mydb1.example-messages.net,mydb2.example-messages.net:27017/?replicaSet=catalog&w=2&readPreference=secondaryPreferred".19:06
Eva-iBut when I start Zaqar, I see this mongodb error: "ServerSelectionTimeoutError: No primary available for writes". What can be wrong?19:07
Eva-iI set up replica-set as you can see.19:08

vkmcheys guys, say hi to sj_ :)19:48
vkmcshe is interested in contributing to Zaqar19:48
vkmcwelcome sj_19:48
Eva-iHello, sj_ =)19:50
sj_Hi everyone! :)19:50
Eva-isj_: My name is Eva. What is your name?19:51
sj_Hey Eva, my name is Shubheksha.19:52
Eva-isj_: oki19:55
vkmcsj_, so, you can start by reading the wiki20:00
vkmchttps://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Zaqar20:01
vkmcand the dev docs that explain how you can set up zaqar in your environment20:01
vkmchttp://docs.openstack.org/developer/zaqar/devref/development.environment.html20:01
vkmcyou have devstack, so this is the easiest way http://docs.openstack.org/developer/zaqar/devref/development.environment.html#devstack20:01
sj_vkmc, like I told you, I don't have the local.conf, so should I add it manually in the devstack folder or should I add it in the same file in which passwords are stored?20:03
vkmcsj_, yeah, copy the sample one20:04
vkmcsj_, replace the password for the passwords that were generated in the file you told me20:04
vkmcthat should work20:04
sj_alright, on it now20:06
sj_I will need to run the create-stack-user.sh script as root, right? I won't let me add stack as a user otherwise20:16
vkmcwhy you want the stack user?20:18
sj_Because that's what is mentioned in the devstack installation using local.conf20:18
vkmclink?20:18
sj_Without it, it's giving me a permission error if I don't run it as root20:18
sj_http://docs.openstack.org/developer/devstack/20:18
vkmcyou ran it with root before?20:18
vkmcah well, that's new too20:19
vkmck k20:19
vkmcsorry, keep going20:19
sj_Without local.conf, I just ran stack.sh, it worked fine20:19
sj_But now, with local.conf, it's exiting with an error20:19
vkmcyeah... you are supposed to run it with a non root user20:19
vkmcgenerally using your user is enough20:19
*** mpanetta has quit IRC20:20
sj_It still gives me the same permission error20:23
sj_Fails while configuring mysql20:23
vkmchmm can you paste the output in paste.openstack.org?20:24
sj_http://paste.openstack.org/show/497952/20:25
vkmcoh20:25
vkmccan you paste me the passwords file?20:26
vkmcwithout the passwords20:26
sj_http://paste.openstack.org/show/497954/20:29
sj_This is the local.conf20:29
Eva-isj_: I had same problem with mysql and devstack today. This happened, because I changed passwords to more desired one. After I run ./clear.sh script and then ./stack.sh, everything went fine.20:30
sj_Eva-i, trying that right now20:31
Eva-isj_: BTW never run ./stack.sh as root. I think I have broken my environment once after doing that.. If ./stack.sh can't execute as normal user, then something need to be configured better. ;)20:32
sj_Eva-i, I wasn't trying to run /.stack.sh as root. It was the ./create-stack-user.sh which required root permissions for creating a user for running devstack, I think :)20:35
Eva-isj_: ah, oki20:35
Eva-ivkmc: I recently have completely broken environment on my main developer laptop. Corrupted python packages, dependency hell... After I installed new system, first thing I did is making wrapper scripts for safely running stack.sh and unstack.sh. Now, for example, each time I run stack.sh, LVM snapshot of root partition (it's separated from /home partition) is created first. And if something will go wrong, I can always restore the system.20:48
