Tony31What I have are two sites, site1 and site2. Each have their own compute and storage array (HPE Nimble Storage). Each array has it's own iqn and iSCSI IPs. I can have volumes replicated from site1 to site2. But the problem is getting it into a usable state for openstack.08:52
Tony31in the cinder backend section (in cinder.conf) the link says I can define `replication_device = backend_id` but my confusion here is what actually happens - I think the storage driver needs the code to do the smarts. Such as convert iqn / volume ID but I dont know if that is possible.08:54

Fl1ntall right, ok, so cinder can have replication capabilities, however it depends on your backend solution, software/hardware, so, either you have a HPE vendor solution (SAN/NAS/Other) and you're right, you'll need an appropriate driver.08:56
