PaulFertserHello. A bit offtopic but possibly someone can give me a hint. I've heard iDRAC can somehow manage RAIDs even on external PCIe HBAs (such as LSI's). The question is how is that actually works, what kind of BMC<->host channel is used and if it's described anywhere. I'm working for a small server manufacturer and it would be nice to provide that feature.19:11
supamattPaulFertser: wrong channel for this, but you'll want to google redfish api params for idrac19:46
PaulFertsersupamatt: hey, thank you. I just know some very experienced server users can see it here, so I hope it's not too offtopic. Redfish API is what one uses to communicate with idrac, but my quest is how that data manages to reach the LSI controller once idrac processes it.20:12
PaulFertserIt's exactly because I saw "ironic" capable of using Redfish with some proprietary BMCs to manage RAID I got an idea that someone here might know what happens there (in BMC) under the hood.20:23
PaulFertserDoes it only work with host OS booted and some "OOB daemon" running?20:26
-opendevstatus- NOTICE: The review.opendev.org server is being rebooted to validate a routing configuration update, and should return to service shortly22:27
