@bruce.jones:matrix.orgI'm trying to revert a commit.  It's https://review.opendev.org/c/starlingx/stx-puppet/+/898772.  The commit failed to merge due to a failure in the Zuul job.  Can anyone tell me why that failed?16:54
@fungicide:matrix.orgbruce.jones: the job log indicates a file conflict between the puppet-lint and puppetlabs-puppet-lint gems16:56
@fungicide:matrix.orgmaybe the job shouldn't be trying to install both of those?16:56
@fungicide:matrix.orgperhaps something changed in a newer version of a package being installed to make those redundant or otherwise conflicting16:57
@fungicide:matrix.orgaccording to https://zuul.opendev.org/t/openstack/builds?job_name=stx-puppet-linters&skip=0 it's impacting multiple changes, and started just today (the job was succeeding yesterday)16:58
@bruce.jones:matrix.orgFYI this issue has been fixed.22:02
@fungicide:matrix.orgawesome, thanks for the update! looks like pinning puppetlabs_spec_helper in https://review.opendev.org/898853 did the trick22:38
@ildikov:matrix.orgHi All, Just a quick update that I sent an email to starlingx-discuss about the mail delivery challenges. Here's the content from the email:23:12
Some mail servers on the client side either mark emails as spam or reject incoming emails depending on dmarc configuration settings. There are multiple options to try and be compatible to most mail server configurations.
Options, based on other OpenInfra communities’ approaches:
1. Turn off various list features which alter the message headers and body (disabling the list features that add a prefix to the subject, that append a footer with the unsubscribe instructions, and setting it not to add a reply-to header)
- Communities using this option: OpenDev, Zuul, OpenStack
2. Replace From: with list address as the mitigation action, and not doing it unconditionally
- Communities using this option: Kata Containers
Both options change how the mailing list alters and delivers the messages.
What is your preference moving forward? __Please vote with either ‘option 1’ or ‘option 2’, or ’none’ if you would prefer a different approach.__
