I wrote this entry as a complement to the dev's upstream doc and a self-reminder whenever I need to run unit tests: https://www.softwarefactory-project.io/hacking-zuul-for-developers-running-unit-tests.html - it should still be relevant except for the underlying VM, you should use 23.04 with python 3.11 as default.
