16:22:54 <diurnalist> i don't think it warrants a spec exactly, but i wanted to propose ripping out a lot of the RPC layer when it comes to DB interaction. mppowers is doing some research on performance related to this

16:23:35 <diurnalist> but perhaps mark could present findings (presumably he'll also have a patch by then, i'm thinking, if it turns out to be worthwhile)
