14:03:19 <mugsie> simon-AS559: :)
14:04:10 <cleong> hi
14:04:16 <mugsie> #topic Action Items from last week
14:04:31 <mugsie> mugsie add new time to all his calenders
14:04:34 <mugsie> done :)
14:04:47 <mugsie> mugsie remove docs/requirments.txt
14:04:49 <mugsie> and done :)
14:05:02 <mugsie> #topic Bug Triage (timsim)
14:05:17 <mugsie> not sure if tim is here, so I will start
14:05:46 <mugsie> #link https://bugs.launchpad.net/designate/+bug/1733305
14:05:47 <openstack> Launchpad bug 1733305 in Designate "designate does not handle compute.instance.update events" [Undecided,New]
14:06:19 <mugsie> I am not sure about this one - we traditionally have said that the included desingate-sink handlers are just examples
14:06:26 <mugsie> but people seem to be using them as is
14:07:26 <simon-AS559> Well the code to handle instance updates would be excellent even as an example (-: if someone writes it)
14:07:49 <mugsie> does anyone think we should start expanding the -sink support, or should we we be pointing people to the neutron integration ?
14:07:53 <mugsie> simon-AS559: that is true
14:08:18 <mugsie> I can mark it as wishlist then, and if someone has the time they can implement it
14:08:25 <simon-AS559> Sounds good.
14:08:42 <simon-AS559> (I don't really have an opinion on -sink vs. Neutron integration—just getting my feet wet with the latter.)
14:09:45 <mugsie> #link https://bugs.launchpad.net/designate/+bug/1722581
14:09:46 <openstack> Launchpad bug 1722581 in Designate "floating ip cannot have any formats but octetstring.domain" [Undecided,New]
14:10:15 <mugsie> for this, we are limited by what is inluded with the notification from neutron
14:10:42 <mugsie> I would need to look, but dns_name *may* be included there now
14:12:10 <mugsie> #link https://bugs.launchpad.net/designate/+bug/1714088
14:12:11 <openstack> Launchpad bug 1714088 in Designate "No ability to create zones shared across tenants" [Undecided,New]
14:12:38 <mugsie> this seems to be a feature request, that was re-opened due to issues with the neutron integration
14:13:12 <mugsie> I think we actually need to do shared, so I will leave it open, and link the spec / blueprint for the shared zones
14:13:26 <simon-AS559> +1
14:14:19 <mugsie> thats it for new bugs :)
14:14:20 <mugsie> #topic Backport Triage
14:15:55 <mugsie> #link http://paste.openstack.org/show/628851/
14:16:20 <mugsie> can everyone look at ^ and see if there is anything that should be backported to ocata / pike ?
14:18:10 <mugsie> I don't see anything really
14:18:16 <simon-AS559> Me neither
14:18:46 <mugsie> #topic Open Discussion
14:19:13 <daidv> Can I come with the same question again :)
14:19:28 <mugsie> Sure :)
14:19:49 <daidv> Will we continue to work on OVO migrate patches?
14:20:16 <mugsie> I have been testing the OVO patches, and I think they can merge soon - there is one or two changes needed (error messages that changed) but it looks good
14:21:04 <mugsie> I think they will become much cleaner when we remove V1 API - they will not have to maintain 2 schemas
14:21:05 <daidv> Awesome!
14:21:33 <mugsie> still not sure about the trigger based migrations, but I think the v1 removal cleanup will let us test that
14:21:58 <mugsie> as we will need to change tenant_id -> project_id etc
14:22:28 <daidv> Ok, first of all, I think we can migrate to use OVO instead pre-date OVO - designate objects.
14:22:53 <mugsie> yeah, that chain is good
14:23:09 <mugsie> so merge it before we worry about v1 removal
14:23:49 <mugsie> any other questions ?
14:24:10 <daidv> Enough for me today :D thanks
14:25:12 <simon-AS559> I'll try to come to the Dublin PTG
14:25:15 <mugsie> OK - one last thing for me - I sugest we skip meetings over the holiday break - so we will have the meeting next week, then skip until Jan 3
14:25:19 <mugsie> simon-AS559: cool :)
14:25:31 <mugsie> I will be here, and we have a room
14:25:37 <simon-AS559> Excellent!
14:25:51 <simon-AS559> Also fine with dropping the meeting over the holiday break.
14:26:02 <mugsie> for once I will not have to fly across an ocean to get to an OpenStack event :)
14:26:03 <daidv> +1
14:26:55 <mugsie> OK, if thats it for today, lets all get 35 mins back :)
14:27:07 <mugsie> thanks everyone!
14:27:09 <simon-AS559> Thanks & bye!
