17:09:05 <openstack> The meeting name has been set to 'diversity_wg'
17:09:07 <spotz> #topic Roll Call
17:09:21 <cmurphy> o/
17:09:21 <spotz> I think Lsa-Marie said she was travelling this week
17:09:30 <fungi> aha, yep, it's in the grey comment box under the meeting name at http://eavesdrop.openstack.org/#Diversity_Working_Group_Meeting
17:09:40 <spotz> Hey cmurphy
17:09:42 <fungi> i should read more closely ;)
17:10:12 <spotz> Well my claendar did ping, but I thought it was wrong until I double checked:) We'll get used to it!
17:10:37 <fungi> i think the calendar file on eavesdrop.o.o is still odd iso week numbers
17:11:37 <spotz> I know youo said we couldn't switch it to Monday, I can see about a new icalc though
17:11:50 <spotz> Monday=monthly
17:12:14 <fungi> probably what we could do is just set it to weekly and then ignore the additional entries
17:12:42 <spotz> And I'm not 100% sure but I think we lost some agenda's from the etherpad as the last date there is 8/9/19. That or I've been bad about updating the page
17:12:47 <fungi> but yeah, there's no included logic for weedday number in a given month
17:13:33 <spotz> Ok agenda quickly updated:)
17:13:36 <spotz> #link https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/diversity-wg-agenda
17:13:45 <fungi> you can always check the time slider on that pad if in doubt
17:14:27 <spotz> #topic GHC
17:14:39 <spotz> Skipping roll call as we've pretty much chimed in:)
17:14:44 <fungi> how'd it go?
17:15:52 <spotz> It went really well I thought. People trickled in which kind of upset the plan BUT as we had Julia, Jill, and Rain besides me and Jon we could actually have different groups going at different entry points
17:16:49 <spotz> So everyone was able to start with some git and gerrit because we could just put a new group at a table with a mentor. Vs me being really the only mentor as has happened in the past which would not have worked in this case
17:17:10 <fungi> sounds really great
17:17:37 <fungi> especially that we had so many folks from the community in attendance
17:17:52 <spotz> I did create the images a little too lean which gave us some inconsistent logins to trouble shoot, but the resize at CityNetwork worked flawlessly and I didn't even need to restack
17:18:24 <spotz> I didn't want to eat up free resources even though I had permission to make them beefier from the start
17:18:26 <fungi> kudos to everyone who helped make that a success, attendees and citynetwork folks
17:19:09 <spotz> Yeah it was sooo nice that we had so many stackers and they were willing to spend a day of the conference helping out
17:20:08 <spotz> So yeah very successful day overall, a few blips cause of me making the images too small though oddly the same size worked fine in Virtual box
17:20:59 <spotz> They are going to discuss how they do the day next year as it always adapts a little but We'll get more details in a few months
17:21:11 <fungi> thanks again for putting that together and running it!
17:21:39 <spotz> Glad things worked out so I could!
17:21:47 <spotz> Any other GHC questions?
17:23:18 <spotz> Ok moving on:)
17:23:25 <spotz> #topic Summit
17:24:41 <spotz> It doesn't look like the Speed Mentoring (last I heard unsponsored) or the Diversity Lunch (sponsored by Intel) are on the schedule yet
17:25:26 <spotz> Those will be the only diversity related things as we made the decision not to get Forum space.
17:26:11 <spotz> Doesn't look like any related summit sessions or submitted by anyone either as I searched on both diversity and metoring to see if those were on the schedule yet
17:26:21 <spotz> or=were
17:26:55 <spotz> So looks like it'll be a tighter more technical summit based on that quick search.
17:27:26 <fungi> i'm still waiting on the chinese embassy to let me know if i'm going, fingers crossed
17:27:34 <spotz> I think Vancouver is going to be the smaller more tech event next year?
17:27:46 <fungi> yes, sounds that way
17:28:01 <spotz> fungi: Yeah I saw a few people were still trying like Chris and Erik from ops meetup team
17:28:36 <spotz> Once the sponsor prospectus comes out (haven't looked) we can see if we'll have any opportunities there
17:28:52 <spotz> cmurphy: You all visa'd?
17:29:25 <cmurphy> yep
17:30:42 <spotz> Excellent:) Least some folks are getting through the process
17:30:59 <spotz> Any thing else on Summit?
17:31:43 <fungi> nothing on my end
17:32:15 <spotz> Only thing I have left is..
17:32:24 <spotz> #topic Open Discussion
17:32:29 <spotz> If anyone has anything:)
17:33:51 <spotz> Forgot to clean up the image we used last week so just deleted it:)
17:34:37 <SWDevAngel> Nothing for me. Next month we can talk about KubeCon. :)
17:35:10 <spotz> Ok lets all have 25 minutes back and see everyone next Month? DO we want to move to the third week as first week is Summit?
17:35:31 <spotz> I was smart and looked:)
17:35:34 <fungi> that makes sense
17:35:55 <spotz> Ok I'll move it on my calendar and make an entry to send out a reminder:)
17:36:00 <SWDevAngel> Third week is KubeCon so I'm for sure out that day. Running a co-located event! Cloud Native Storage. Who hoo!
17:36:01 <spotz> Thanks all!
17:36:10 <fungi> thanks spotz!
17:36:15 <spotz> Enjoy Kubecon
17:36:16 <SWDevAngel> Thanks Amy!
