15:03:41 <iurygregory> and well, it's monday :D
15:03:42 <rpittau> oh well
15:03:42 <rpittau> let's start
15:03:42 <rpittau> #topic Announcements/Reminders
15:03:55 <rpittau> Standing reminder to review patches tagged ironic-week-prio and to hashtag any patches ready for review with ironic-week-prio:
15:03:55 <rpittau> #link https://tinyurl.com/ironic-weekly-prio-dash
15:04:29 <rpittau> I'll go through some of them during the week, I think there's some CI instability though
15:05:05 <TheJulia> I've definitely seen it
15:05:21 <TheJulia> I've posted a change to tempest which would cut out some of the extra behavior on basic testing
15:05:21 * cid notes Jay is out sick
15:05:23 <rpittau> will give priority to the specs I see there since a while now
15:05:32 <rpittau> ack cid
15:05:54 <iurygregory> get well soon JayF o/
15:06:59 <rpittau> ok moving on
15:07:08 <rpittau> a quick glance to the 2025.1 Epoxy Release Schedule
15:07:08 <rpittau> #link https://releases.openstack.org/epoxy/schedule.html
15:07:22 <rpittau> we're at R-9
15:07:42 <rpittau> in parallel to that I'm planning bugfix branches cut for next week
15:07:48 <iurygregory> ack
15:08:15 <rpittau> we still have 3 weeks before non-client libs release
15:08:26 <rpittau> not too much
15:09:02 <rpittau> and now for something we were all expecting!
15:09:02 <rpittau> Flamingo PTG will take place place on April 7-11, 2025!
15:09:11 <iurygregory> \o/
15:09:23 <rpittau> save the dates
15:09:51 <TheJulia> I... am actually glad it is not the week of my birthday again
15:09:56 <rpittau> :)
15:10:02 <iurygregory> :D
15:10:18 <rpittau> I'll take care of the bureaucracy behind the ironic community registration and scheduling
15:10:26 <TheJulia> Thank you rpittau
15:10:27 <rpittau> meetpad incoming soon!
15:10:29 <iurygregory> tks!
15:10:32 <rpittau> sorry, etherpad I meant
15:11:08 <rpittau> aaaand related to that, the PTL nomination period starts February 5, so next week
15:11:45 <opendevreview> Verification of a change to openstack/ironic master failed: Resolve portgroup deletion failure https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/ironic/+/939085
15:12:08 <rpittau> I'm going to make it official with a mail, but I'm NOT going to run for a 3rd mandate :)
15:13:05 <rpittau> any other announcement/reminder for today?
15:13:06 <TheJulia> Anyone thinking of running?
15:13:56 <iurygregory> for me maybe next year I will try to run
15:14:02 <JayF> I am explicitly not running, I may be taking some significant time off during next cycle
15:14:30 <rpittau> so anarchy it is! :D
15:14:35 <iurygregory> :D
15:15:31 <TheJulia> Well, if anyone is interested, we have no lack of former PTLs involved with the project
15:15:33 <rpittau> btw thanks everyone, it's been a pleasure and an honor to serve as PTL for the last 2 dev cycles :)
15:15:33 <rpittau> I hope in the future I'll be able to repeat the experience
15:15:37 <TheJulia> (which is actually, an really good thing)
15:15:50 <TheJulia> And Thank you rpittau for putting the work in!
15:16:07 <iurygregory> yeah, thank you for all your work as PTL :D
15:16:07 <JayF> Ironic may also be to the point where we can just all sign up for one of the DPL liaisons and stop having a dedicated PTL
15:16:12 <opendevreview> Julia Kreger proposed openstack/ironic master: bootc deploy interface - for bootable containers https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/ironic/+/937897
15:16:23 <JayF> We're all ready to the point where most of what the PTL does is spread throughout the team anyway
15:16:26 <rpittau> JayF: well why not, it does sound interesting
15:17:14 <iurygregory> ++
15:17:37 <rpittau> alright, onward!
15:17:44 <rpittau> #topic Discussion topics
15:18:08 <rpittau> there's nothing planned to discuss today, but I see an open discussione from JayF and cid
15:19:23 <TheJulia> Well, if we have nothing to discuss, I can get to writing unit tests for bootc
15:19:29 <rpittau> :)
15:20:00 <JayF> That open discussion item was removed because I'm out sick
15:20:01 <TheJulia> I successfully deployed quay.io/centos-bootc/centos-bootc:stream9 this past weekend
15:20:07 <rpittau> ack JayF
15:20:12 <iurygregory> =O
15:20:13 <iurygregory> nice!
15:20:16 <rpittau> TheJulia: great!
15:20:25 <JayF> We will probably have a live demo and review session for inspector rules at some point soon
15:21:05 <rpittau> JayF: that's cool, looking forward to it
15:21:07 <TheJulia> Metal3 folks, it would be helpful for you to take a look at open OCI related patches, the actual bootc deployment interface is up in review. I don't know how metal3 might want to represent any of it, but it does seem super interesting to just say "deploy this container" or "deploy this artifact in the container registyr"
15:21:21 <iurygregory> adam-metal3, ^ fyi
15:21:29 <rpittau> TheJulia: yep
15:22:08 <TheJulia> artifact wise, it might just work today
15:22:17 <TheJulia> but a different deploy interface is... very different
15:23:02 <rpittau> I'll ahve a look at the spec this week
15:23:16 <rpittau> and the patch
15:23:30 <rpittau> I guess we can close the meeting here
15:23:43 <rpittau> thanks everyone!
