16:10:19 <sambetts> Newton nova non-priority feature freeze is June 30, so thats this Thursday, this may impact the ironic nova driver patches we need for port-groups, however it may be that because some patches are already in flight we may be OK

16:12:29 <sambetts> we decided to break the port groups part of the API away from the rest of the API being added to ports to support the neutron intergration work
16:13:40 <sambetts> this is to allow the non-bonded port neutron integration work to not be blocked by port groups which requires further development
16:15:09 <sambetts> along side making these decisions we also discussed problems with the current implementaion and standalone mode Ironic, which I believe were resolved, and resulted in a slight change to how the Ironic DB model decides on which network driver to use as the default

16:16:48 <TheJulia> w/r/t the standalone model usage, I believe the issue is resolved as well, although I need to re-test as that belief is only based on a quick review of the code.

16:19:18 <sambetts> So based on the mid-cycle discussions I think the majority of patches are ready for review again, although they do keep requiring rebases due to merge conflict
16:20:05 <sambetts> The LLDP/Local link inspection patches, have merged the IPA side, the Inspector side is dependent on the API merging to support updating that local link connection property
16:21:36 <sambetts> The nova patches have been rebased, and the comments answered, I believe they are also ready for review. We are still missing the config drive network-data.json logic though.

16:32:57 <sambetts> I agree, I think that would be better, although the portgroups patch is going to need a different API version anyway, because now we're mergeing the portgroups API in ironic separatly it'll be a different microversion
