07:00:21 <ricolin> #topic roll call
07:00:23 <ricolin> o/
07:02:13 <ianw> o/
07:02:27 <ricolin> ianw, o/
07:03:23 <ricolin> ianw, o/
07:03:32 <ricolin> let's make it quick and short:)
07:03:38 <ricolin> #topic VPTG
07:03:56 <ricolin> ianw, the deadline to apply Multi-arch SIG for VPTG is close
07:04:27 <ricolin> try to collect feedback on whether we should sign this SIG to VPTG or not
07:04:35 <ricolin> ianw, any idea?
07:05:05 <ianw> umm, i don't know if i have anything specific to work on
07:06:00 <ianw> i mean count me in, if any of the other usual suspects are in too
07:06:28 <ricolin> I'm working with foundation to find out if SIG can have some session in Summit, but for VPTG, I'm not sure if we have any specific topic to work on in VPTG too
07:07:29 <ricolin> Maybe we can have one or two hours schedule in VPTG?
07:09:07 <ianw> i'm sure there's always some work on wheels or other ci bits we could do :)
07:10:04 <ricolin> true
07:11:17 <ricolin> ianw, talk about CI, can you give us some quick update on wheels support?
07:12:13 <ianw> the big thing was integrating pyca/cryptography with zuul and the linaro arm64 resources
07:12:33 <ianw> most of the effort was in figuring out zuul-ish things we hadn't really done before
07:12:42 <ricolin> #topic wheels support
07:12:58 <ianw> after that, it wasn't too hard to get us running tox-based ci for them, and also building manylinux wheels
07:13:06 <ianw> which are now published, yay!
07:13:44 <ianw> if we will see if they want to integrate further; it seems they also have some access to arm64 hardware via travis-ci now after some changes
07:13:45 <ricolin> yeah, I saw you been keep tracking with that!!
07:14:20 <ianw> the one disadvantage we have is we can't do their windows/osx stuff
07:15:42 <ianw> we also want to look at the wheels we're building in our environment, and maybe build some outside requirements
07:16:11 <ianw> (currently, we just loop requirements.txt and build wheels for that. but some things, like zuul, aren't using requirements, but we'd still like to build wheels for it)
07:16:25 <ianw> so it's just a matter of updating scripts, etc. to do that sanely
07:17:15 <ricolin> scripts in zuul?
07:19:40 <ianw> umm, yeah the wheel building scripts i guess, or playbooks and roles and scripts that all live together :)
07:20:28 <ricolin> thanks, try to make sure I taking it right:)
07:21:07 <ricolin> ianw, thanks for the update:)
07:21:31 <ianw> that's really about it
07:24:57 <ricolin> those are the two topics I concerns about:)
07:25:37 <ricolin> do hope if the wheels support will bring stable and performance improve to the arm test jobs
07:25:57 <ianw> yeah the wider support gets the better
07:27:57 <ricolin> Okay, I think we can end this meeting, will apply for VPTG schedule later
07:28:17 <ricolin> also keep an eye on wheels support
07:28:59 <ianw> thanks for keeping up with this :)
07:29:00 <ricolin> thanks ianw to join:)
