16:02:46 <johnsom> Wahoo

16:04:42 <gthiemonge> Berlin, June 7-9
16:05:42 <johnsom> Just two days... I wonder if they will have the ptg aligned with it.
16:06:41 <gthiemonge> Good question, we don't know yet
16:06:48 <gthiemonge> Any other announcements?
16:07:20 <johnsom> I think we have some gate fixes in, so patches are passing again right?
16:08:15 <gthiemonge> One last patch needs to be merged: https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/octavia/+/809802
16:08:40 <johnsom> Ok, cool
16:08:41 <gthiemonge> it passed the check pipeline but not the gate, 3 times
16:09:18 <gthiemonge> I'm keeping an eye on octavia-v2-dsvm-scenario:

16:11:05 <gthiemonge> #topic Brief progress reports / bugs needing review
16:11:51 <gthiemonge> well I worked on reviewing/fixing the first patches for stable/xena, the branches were created before our fix for pep8 merged on master
16:12:16 <gthiemonge> and I would like to get some feedback on a fix/update for the health status in haproxy:
16:12:22 <gthiemonge> #link https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/octavia/+/805955
16:12:31 <johnsom> So.... I got an itch and wrote a feature patch over the weekend to add prometheus support to the amphora provider.
16:12:32 <gthiemonge> basically the status of the members was lost after then reload of haproxy
16:13:01 <gthiemonge> some members in ERROR might have appeared as ONLINE during a short period of time
16:13:11 <gthiemonge> (between the reload and the first health message after the reload)
16:13:39 <gthiemonge> now I'm using a feature in haproxy to store the state of the members in a file during the reload
16:13:54 <gthiemonge> johnsom: that's great! I need to test it!
16:13:56 <johnsom> https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/octavia/+/812258 and the lib patch that would need to land first: https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/octavia-lib/+/812257. There is also a tempest patch: https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/octavia-tempest-plugin/+/812260
16:14:19 <johnsom> Let me know what you all think and/or we can discuss the approach at the PTG.
16:14:48 <johnsom> It was kind of a whim thing, so there isn't an RFE story or spec. Let me know if you would like one.
16:14:50 <gthiemonge> ok, I will take a look
16:15:20 <johnsom> I will also take a look at the reload patch.
16:15:26 <gthiemonge> thanks
16:15:47 <johnsom> maybe rm_work can review https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/octavia/+/809302 since it was related to an issue he was seeing.
16:19:13 <gthiemonge> #topic Open Discussion
16:19:19 <gthiemonge> any other topics?
16:20:20 <johnsom> I don't remember if I mentioned it here before, but HAProxy 2.5 seems on track for a release end of the month or early next month. It has the basis patches for QUIC/HTTP3 support in it.
16:20:42 <gthiemonge> oh! that's great!
16:21:03 <johnsom> I suspect that it will need the 2.6 release to really be complete/stablize, but it's cool to see the start land.
16:23:02 <gthiemonge> ok, but if someone has some time, they can start to look at it!
16:23:08 <gthiemonge> we can discuss it at the PTG
16:23:12 <johnsom> Yep
16:25:34 <gthiemonge> ok, anything else?
16:26:38 <gthiemonge> ok
16:26:42 <gthiemonge> thanks everyone
