16:00:11 <johnsom> Hello everyone
16:00:29 <johnsom> #topic Announcements
16:00:43 <danfai> o/
16:00:44 <johnsom> I don't really have any announcements this week. Anyone else?
16:00:55 <gthiemon1e> nop
16:01:01 <danfai> The CFP for OpenInfra Paris is closing soon
16:01:10 <johnsom> #topic Brief progress reports / bugs needing review
16:01:37 <gthiemon1e> https://summit2025.openinfra.org/
16:01:50 <johnsom> Oh cool. Maybe gthiemon1e has an Octavia topic to present!
16:02:12 <gthiemonge> who?
16:02:23 <johnsom> lol
16:02:24 <danfai> :)
16:03:24 <johnsom> I had hoped to prepare a presentation/blog for an unknown event that talks to the SR-IOV features and does comparisons, but I have had zero time to do so.
16:03:50 <johnsom> Speaking of zero time and progress reports...
16:04:20 <gthiemonge> this week i was stuck on downstream tasks :/
16:04:21 <johnsom> As you know I have been busy working on all of our gate issues and bugs I have found along the way
16:04:55 <danfai> mostly downstream and PTO for me as well
16:06:52 <johnsom> We have grenade running again, we have a fix for the duplicate VIP address issue posted and starting to merge (we need to do an octavia-lib release), we fixed the osc-lib client issue but I need to propose stable branch releases for that
16:07:24 <johnsom> I have also proposed the required patches to exclude Taskflow 6.0.0 from everything as it was broken
16:07:59 <gthiemonge> thanks johnsom!
16:08:07 <danfai> Potentially for after the meeting, but I guess non-core don't have a way to help with fixing anything related to gate jobs?
16:09:01 <danfai> and thanks for the fixes
16:09:02 <johnsom> Actually, no, anyone can help with these issues. In fact we get a decent amount of help from people that are not core on the project.
16:09:50 <johnsom> It is really about tracking down what is broken and proposing patches that fix them.
16:10:18 <johnsom> The last month or so has been a much higher than usual amount of change in the python universe that impacted our project.
16:11:17 <danfai> ACK, thanks for the clarification
16:11:33 <johnsom> I will also say, +1's also help a lot as it means someone has had a pass over the patch already
16:11:58 <johnsom> That said, if you are interested in becoming a core, I can chat with you about the process. grin
16:12:51 <gthiemonge> :-)
16:12:53 <johnsom> One of our cores switched jobs and is stuck with the legal team working through the contributor rules, but hopefully will be able to help again soon.\
16:13:39 <johnsom> Anyway, that is my progress update. I still have fixes in flight, so more work to do there.
16:14:37 <johnsom> Thank you for your patience while we get the gates working properly again. It's a distraction from reviewing new stuff.
16:15:07 <johnsom> #topic Open Discussion
16:15:14 <johnsom> Any new topics this week?
16:15:24 <gthiemonge> nothing from me
16:15:41 <danfai> nope
16:16:12 <johnsom> Ok then, a short one this week. Thanks everyone!
