16:00:36 <johnsom> #topic Announcements
16:00:51 <johnsom> Welcome to Flamingo milestone 3 week!
16:00:58 <gthiemonge> yeah!
16:00:59 <johnsom> Also known as feature freeze week
16:01:40 <johnsom> Other than that, I don't think I have any other announcements. Anyone else?
16:02:08 <johnsom> #topic Brief progress reports / bugs needing review
16:02:25 <johnsom> I have been mostly focused on bug and patch reviews this week.
16:02:57 <johnsom> I am also reviewing a feature patch in designate that we are trying to get in for Flamingo, so slightly distracted.
16:03:10 <gthiemonge> just FYI grenade is broken on stable/2025.1, so our CI is blocked, I'll open a launchpad with all the informations, some other projects are blocked too (designate)
16:03:25 <johnsom> My push going forward is to work on reviews and bug fixes for the Flamingo release.
16:03:39 <johnsom> Ok, thank you. I will look forward to the launchpad
16:04:11 <gthiemonge> (hint: it seems that setuptools is not updated and it causes issues)
16:04:36 <gthiemonge> I opened a launchpad for potential duplicate GARPs in A/S:
16:04:41 <gthiemonge> https://bugs.launchpad.net/octavia/+bug/2121370
16:04:52 <johnsom> That is always a hard one as it's not managed by requirements.txt
16:04:57 <gthiemonge> I proposed 2 patches (with help of AI agents) today
16:05:06 <johnsom> Ugh oh....
16:05:11 <gthiemonge> https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/octavia/+/958639
16:05:17 <gthiemonge> https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/octavia/+/958640
16:05:20 <johnsom> Extra review time coming.... Grin
16:05:30 <gthiemonge> the 1st one makes sense IMHO
16:05:49 <gthiemonge> 2nd patch is more arguable, someone may have a better solution
16:06:13 <johnsom> My last AI run with Octavia led to it just running ruff and not finding the issue I already had a patch posted for....
16:06:52 <gthiemonge> TBH I've spent a lot of time iterating on the Claude Code prompt to make something that I think is acceptable. I don't know if I've saved some time with these tools :D
16:07:23 <johnsom> Yeah, the jury is out for me too
16:07:56 <johnsom> #topic Open Discussion
16:08:02 <johnsom> Any other topics today?
16:08:17 <gthiemonge> nop
16:09:47 <johnsom> I did see that there was a vote about shortening the lifetime of TLS certificates that are valid for browsers to ultimately 47 days.
16:10:48 <johnsom> Since the OpenStack Anchor project died, this may become an issue for Octavia users. Currently it is up to the user to renew certs, update barbican, and then update octavia.

16:11:23 <johnsom> Food for thought on future projects.
16:12:03 <johnsom> Ok, that is all I had today.
16:12:11 <johnsom> Have a great feature freeze week!
16:12:16 <gthiemonge> johnsom: thanks!
