16:03:04 <johnsom> First up, we are now past milestone 2 for Gazpacho. This means feature freeze is rapidly approaching.
16:03:25 <johnsom> We need to focus on any features we feel we can get into Gazpacho and are a priority.

16:06:20 <johnsom> I assume you are asking about the OpenStack IRC channels. I am not aware of a solid discussion to move the OpenStack IRC channels at this time.
16:07:18 <johnsom> Historically IRC has been good for folks in certain countries that have limited communication channels. They typically can access IRC and there are good apps to help them translate.
16:07:28 <rcruise> Yeah I was wondering about Openstack IRC, fair enough. Sounds like we'll be with IRC for the foreseeable future
16:07:46 <johnsom> I think that is the open question, whether we would be blocking access to certain groups with a matrix move.

16:10:56 <johnsom> To be honest, I am distracted helping the Designate team with their eventlet removal project and various downstream activities. This means I have not been super active in Octavia this week.
16:12:01 <johnsom> Side note: If you are not aware, Octavia did not use eventlet on purpose, so we do not have work to do here. In fact, the rest of OpenStack is adopting the approach we took with threading.
