15:02:46 <e0ne> hi
15:04:30 <bnemec> Okay, light attendance this week. Should be quick then. :-)
15:04:35 <bnemec> #topic Red flags for/from liaisons
15:05:10 <ansmith> o/
15:05:27 <bnemec> I sent an email to openstack-dev last week with one red flag.
15:05:32 * bnemec finds the link
15:06:04 <bnemec> #link http://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/openstack-dev/2018-July/132312.html
15:06:25 <bnemec> There was a new oslo.policy release last week that added some type checking to one of the arguments.
15:06:50 <bnemec> This _shouldn't_ break any runtime code unless it was actually passing in a bogus object type, but it did break glance's unit tests.
15:07:13 <jungleboyj> :-(
15:08:01 <bnemec> I think that's it from the oslo side.
15:08:15 <bnemec> Hopefully now that we're in feature freeze things will be pretty quiet on the red flag front.
15:08:35 <bnemec> (the policy change was part of the last-minute rush to get features in)
15:08:51 <bnemec> #topic Releases
15:09:13 <bnemec> Quite a few last week because I released everything with pending requirements changes too.
15:09:31 <bnemec> That should be it for feature releases this cycle, with one possible exception.
15:09:49 <bnemec> There are a couple of things in pbr that we want to get deprecated this cycle, and that will require a feature release.
15:10:11 <bnemec> stephenfin's patches merged last week so I plan to request a release today.
15:10:34 <bnemec> It should be pretty safe as it's only deprecating a couple of things and the one actual new feature shouldn't be used by anyone in OpenStack.
15:10:46 <bnemec> It's only for external consumers of pbr.
15:11:13 <bnemec> And of course I'll do any bugfix releases that need to happen this week.
15:11:28 <bnemec> Not expecting much as the releases happened kind of late last week.
15:12:17 <bnemec> #topic Action items from last meeting
15:12:37 <bnemec> They were all related to the oslo.policy/glance issue, which is now fixed.
15:12:46 <bnemec> So \o/
15:13:11 <bnemec> #topic Reminders
15:13:27 <bnemec> No new one-off topics this week, but a couple of reminders:
15:13:39 <bnemec> 1) We're still in feature freeze, so only bugfixes should be merging.
15:14:01 <bnemec> 2) The ptg planning etherpad is here:

15:14:23 <bnemec> Feel free to add topics.

15:15:02 <bnemec> Hey, and kgiusti was the one I needed to talk to about that.
15:15:24 <kgiusti> yo bnemec!
15:15:28 <bnemec> The patch looks fine, but for some reason the submitter removed Ken's vote. :-/
15:15:36 <bnemec> I'm guessing that was an accident.
15:15:46 <bnemec> And I'm surprised it's even allowed.
15:15:55 <kgiusti> bnemec: right that surprised me also
15:16:31 <bnemec> Seems like that can be merged though.
15:16:34 <bnemec> Any objections?
15:16:38 <kgiusti> bnemec: I haven't reached out to the owner...
15:17:18 <kgiusti> bnemec: none from me - sileht raised a couple of points, which appear fixed.
15:17:50 <bnemec> It's a pretty simple patch which seems right.
15:18:16 <bnemec> And now it's in the gate.
15:18:28 <kgiusti> and Zane liked it...
15:18:29 <bnemec> #topic Open discussion
15:18:47 <bnemec> Yeah, and Zane is probably the closest thing we have to an oslo.service expert at this point.
15:19:04 <bnemec> Maybe we should make him a core...
15:19:40 <kgiusti> +1
15:20:38 <bnemec> Anything else before we close?
15:22:22 <bnemec> Okay, thanks for joining everyone!
