17:18:42 <LouisF> hi all
17:18:46 <LouisF> sorry for delay
17:18:58 <igordcard> hi LouisF
17:19:01 <bcafarel> howdy
17:19:09 <doonhammer> hi all
17:19:57 <LouisF> agenda https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Meetings/ServiceFunctionChainingMeeting#Agenda_for_the_Networking-SFC_Meeting_.282.2F9.2F2017.29
17:20:22 <LouisF> #topic API reference
17:21:46 <LouisF> pcarver: i noticed a merge error
17:22:00 <pcarver> yes, I need to update
17:22:29 <pcarver> I'm switching back and forth between working on the bgpvpn and sfc api-refs
17:22:56 <LouisF> pcarver: ok
17:23:03 <pcarver> and other people are working on other api-refs so every time one merges it needs to be rebased
17:23:20 <pcarver> all the parameters for everything are in a single file
17:24:17 <LouisF> pcarver: right
17:24:35 <igordcard> can we add graph to the api ref?
17:25:11 <LouisF> igordcard: can we add that as a separate patch?
17:25:20 <igordcard> LouisF: yes
17:25:22 <pcarver> we can, but should we do that as part of the initial commit or after?
17:25:57 <LouisF> i'd like to get this commit done as it affects ocata compliance
17:26:16 <pcarver> Ther's been so much churn that I think getting this merged first makes sense
17:26:34 <LouisF> pcarver: +1
17:26:39 <pcarver> I don't want to intiate dozens more patch sets adding the graph
17:26:43 <igordcard> if there's no problem in submitting multiple patches to neutron-lib as part of ocata api ref, I'm ok with submitting another one
17:26:55 <LouisF> igordcard: ok thanks
17:28:00 <LouisF> #topic CLI in python-neutronclient

17:28:23 <LouisF> mohan uploaded a new patchset - please review

17:30:26 <LouisF> please review this
17:31:05 <LouisF> sfc graph https://review.openstack.org/#/c/388802/
17:31:11 <LouisF> please review
17:31:11 <igordcard> https://review.openstack.org/#/q/topic:sfc_encapsulation
17:31:26 <igordcard> you can review mpls correlation, graph api and graph db/plugin
17:32:00 <LouisF> igordcard: thanks yes - all review these
17:32:31 <igordcard> while I finish the ovs patch which I had to rewrite a big part... I want to have it finished before next week... but the other 3 patches are ready for review (I'll only make a few minor changes that won't affect the review)
17:32:42 <LouisF> igordcard: some have jenkins failure - can you post new patches
17:33:07 <igordcard> LouisF: yeah the db/plugin failed, I'll post soon, thanks
17:33:13 <bcafarel> igordcard: MPLS correlation is good to review? It still has your -1
17:33:27 <bcafarel> oh it's code-review, not workflow, nevermind
17:33:51 <igordcard> LouisF: it's my acknowledge of the changes that it needs... but they aren't too sigificant to prevent reviewing from others
17:34:12 <igordcard> bcafarel:
17:34:39 <bcafarel> ok, I'll check the other ones then :)
17:35:05 <LouisF> igordcard: ok will review
17:35:20 <LouisF> mohankumar_: hi
17:35:31 <LouisF> mohankumar_: thanks for updated patch
17:37:59 <LouisF> we need to pull a stable/ocata brancj to align with the release
17:38:25 <LouisF> need to do this in by end of month
17:38:56 <LouisF> i would like to have the symmetric chain and sfc graph work done before then
17:39:29 <LouisF> and the api reference work and the cli work
17:40:12 <bcafarel> these 2 are external repositories, do they have the same target date for ocata branch?
17:40:59 <LouisF> bcafarel: agree but its work items we have had for some time
17:41:33 <LouisF> igordcard: do you think this is possible for sfc graph?
17:43:01 <igordcard> sorry, let me read
17:43:26 <igordcard> Lyes, possible for sfc graph
17:43:38 <LouisF> igordcard: great
17:44:31 <LouisF> igordcard: regarding the follow nsh work - what is approx. schedule for that?
17:46:11 <LouisF> doonhammer: i see that is an openswitch patch for sfc - how is that progressing?
17:46:16 <igordcard> LouisF: without using any special transport like vxlan+-gpe, it shouldn't take more than a month... most of the time will be spent manually testing it
17:47:14 <igordcard> it is likely that OVS 2.8 will finally have NSH support, but not certain
17:47:46 <bcafarel> that would be great
17:48:08 <doonhammer> LouisF: Yes working on getting it into mainline - Ben has reviewed the first patch - I am not happy with the overloading of the ACL - it does not really work and has minimal benefits (IMHO) so going to submit alternate patch
17:48:26 <LouisF> doonhammer: ok thanks
17:49:03 <LouisF> igordcard: when is ovs 2.8 available?
17:49:11 <doonhammer> LouisF: I have taken care of Ben's comments to the current patch so either should be good
17:49:14 <igordcard> LouisF: august/september I believe
17:49:54 <LouisF> igordcard: thanks
17:50:48 <LouisF> #topic other items
17:51:05 <LouisF> any other items?
17:52:20 <LouisF> ok thanks all
17:52:45 <igordcard> thank you
17:52:57 <LouisF> bye
17:53:01 <bcafarel> bye
