14:06:04 <openstackgerrit> Lee Yarwood proposed openstack/tripleo-common master: nova: Remove nova-placement images and healthchecks https://review.opendev.org/635150

14:07:21 <rh-jelabarre> o/
14:07:30 <mwhahaha> doesn't look liek we have any agenda items.
14:07:42 <mwhahaha> anyone have any last minute things they wish to talk about?
14:08:06 <Vorrtex> I just have a general question
14:08:43 <Vorrtex> As I go through old or low to medium priority tickets/bugs in bugzilla, I seem to come across a lot of tickets that have been brought forward through any number of releases without any kind of progress.
14:09:12 <Vorrtex> When I find one of these tickets, and the last comment is something like "is this still an issue?" and yet no response, who should I go to for clarification on said ticket and its potentially "fixed or not fixed" status?
14:09:43 <mwhahaha> it depends, sometimes you'd have to try and reproduce it yourself to determine if it's still a bug
14:09:51 <mwhahaha> you could try and see if the reporter is around and ask them
14:10:12 <mwhahaha> if it's an old bug, it's likely still an issue but a corner case that hasn't been causing too much pain
14:10:22 <mwhahaha> or sometimes they get fixed via a refactor
14:11:52 <Vorrtex> Okay, so for arguments sake, I can't reproduce it, we can close it, and someone can reopen or refile if it *is* still an issue or something?
14:12:18 <mwhahaha> yes
14:12:23 <marios> Vorrtex: yeah i'd go so far as to say 'closing this change if you disagree' with a comment and close it
14:12:24 <mwhahaha> you could mark it as invalid or incomplete
14:12:35 <mwhahaha> and just mention to reopen if you hit it again
14:12:36 <marios> Vorrtex: for really old bugs that are clearly not gonna get anymore attention
14:13:38 <Vorrtex> Sure sure, I've just happened upon a bug or two that's from like, 2017 or earlier, and they just keep getting carried over release after release... Was curious if they should just have an expiration or something so this kind of cruft can just go away
14:13:52 <mwhahaha> usually if it's moved a few releases it's unlikely still and issue and we should probably close them out
14:13:52 <marios> Vorrtex: yes thanks for doing it ;) !
14:13:58 <openstackgerrit> Yurii Prokulevych proposed openstack/tripleo-upgrade stable/queens: Set osd_scenario variable during P->Q upgrade.  https://review.opendev.org/655169
14:14:23 <Vorrtex> Alright, well if I have one-off questions I'll like just ask here in channel anyway, and people can help out as necessary :D
14:14:32 <Vorrtex> likely just ask***
14:14:36 <mwhahaha> indeed
14:14:38 <mwhahaha> thanks for asking

14:18:38 <mwhahaha> fyi we've closed out the stein-rc1 milestone
14:18:56 <mwhahaha> we released it last week so unless something big pops up, that will likely be our GA
14:19:09 <mwhahaha> remember you'll need to backport anything that affects stein
14:20:58 <mwhahaha> #topic projects releases or stable backports
14:21:15 <mwhahaha> along the same lines, we also are working on the last release for pike
14:21:24 <mwhahaha> it's reaching eol
14:21:42 <Tengu> \o/
14:21:45 <mwhahaha> I believe we'll likely follow up with additional releases of queens/rocky now that stein rc1 is out
14:22:28 <mwhahaha> any questions about releases?

14:24:58 <ccamacho> nice
14:25:34 <mwhahaha> #topic open discussion
14:25:36 <mwhahaha> anything else?
14:25:44 <Tengu> ccamacho: there are issues when validations call "podman" CLI, but that's another topic. My guess: it's due to the way mistral manages its things.
14:28:10 <ccamacho> yeahp
14:28:39 <mwhahaha> alright sounds like we're done. thanks everyone
