@sean-k-mooney:matrix.orgi was going to ask in #openstack-infra but  its more of a opendev question.12:44
he teim.app domain are where i have been hosting some of my personal project like my code review tirdparty ci tool https://zuul.teim.app
i was condiring rebanding it to teim review instead of https://github.com/SeanMooney/openstack-ai-style-guide and creatign a github org to keep it sepreate form my personal accont but https://github.com/teim has alredy been claimed by someone.
opendev provides code hosting service https://opendev.org/explore/organizations
i was wonderign if i could aviale fo that as an indivugual?
im not in a rush to do this by the way
https://docs.opendev.org/opendev/infra-manual/latest/faq.html#can-i-host-my-project-on-opendev implies the anser is yes but i was kind of wondering what the mechanics of that would look like.
i.e. would i have to bother folks when i want ro create new repos ectra or could i do that self service via a project config repo in that new teim/ namespace, or for gerrir acls ectra.
@sean-k-mooney:matrix.org^ is very much not a high piority just somehtign i was thinking about over the weekend12:45
@sean-k-mooney:matrix.orggithub works for me today and i also considreed just runnign my own gerrit and using github as a mirror 12:46
@fungicide:matrix.orgsean-k-mooney: opendev provides a comprehensive code hosting and ci/cd suite (gerrit+zuul together), so in order to merge changes in a project hosted in opendev you'd need to rely on zuul jobs. if that works for you, and if the project is and remains under an osi-approved license, welcome14:42
@fungicide:matrix.orgwe do also appreciate help maintaining the services you rely on, when you have the time, but it's not mandatory14:43
@mordred:waterwanders.comsean-k-mooney: I host https://opendev.org/wandertracks/ and https://opendev.org/inaugust on opendev 14:44
@sean-k-mooney:matrix.orgack, yes i have not givem my zuul merge permeison on the relevent repo yet but that was partly because i had not looked into how to approve merging with lables in github. so i would have no issue using zuul ot ci and merge thigns.15:24
currently there are a few repos i was thinkign of
https://github.com/SeanMooney/grt which is a rust prot of git-review that i was thinking of extend to provide a gerrity tui like gerrty
and incoperate some features form https://github.com/SeanMooney/ca-bhfuil
its basiclaly a developer tool that i was cratign to help me fiutre our where patches are across branches/repos and help with review and interacting with ai for developemnt
the only feature grt has over git review right now is the ablity to retive the comment on a current review programaticly allowign ai to summerise tehm adn prepare a plane to adress them.
the other repo i was condiertion or set of repos is the set of repos i have for my ai review ci.
that last woudl be a poc of a rust based horizon replacement providign a web interface for openstack.
all of the above would be mit or apache licneed.
im unsure how much time and energy i will have to invest in any of these effort in the near term so github has been working ok but i kind of hate the PR ux.
so it sound liek this woudl not be out of place in the future if i was to proceed in that direction
@sean-k-mooney:matrix.orgi think for the next few monts i might keep them on github and revisit based on how much time i sped on the side projects15:28
@sean-k-mooney:matrix.orggiven the amount of draws i have on my time upstream in openstack already thinbgs like this often get deferred15:29
@clarkb:matrix.orgcatching up. Is there anything I should be looking at with more priority than other thigns? I think I also have a gitea container image upgrade change sitting in my queue if there is interest in poking at that this week15:55
@clarkb:matrix.orgfungi: if you can host the meeting that would be great, I will attend15:55
@fungicide:matrix.orggladly!16:02
@clarkb:matrix.orghttps://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/system-config/+/975320 this is the gitea container upgrade change. Looks like fungi is +2 on it17:56
@fungicide:matrix.orgyeah, i'll be disappearing for about an hour immediately after the meeting today, but could keep an eye on it after i get back17:59
@clarkb:matrix.orgthat hour is my lunch hour so that also works for me18:00
@clarkb:matrix.orgThe OpenDevent planning etherpad has three two hour blocks of time proposed in it now: https://etherpad.opendev.org/p/opendevent-march-2026 If you would like to join us and one of those blocks of time does not work please let me know. Also feel free to suggest additional topics or topic content19:28
@clarkb:matrix.organd apologies for the short notice on this. I ended up unexpectedly AFK most of last week and am trying to catch up on everything now that I'm back19:28
-@gerrit:opendev.org- Dr. Jens Harbott proposed: [opendev/zuul-providers] 977863: Revert "Disable rax-ord and rax-iad" https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/zuul-providers/+/97786319:59
@harbott.osism.tech:regio.chatsorry for dropping out of the meeting, took a bit longer than expected. ^^ is now the revert to test rax again, would be good to merge when someone can watch launcher logs (cc corvus )20:00
@clarkb:matrix.org+2 from me20:48
@fungicide:matrix.orgnot sure there's any need to watch launcher logs, we keep them for a while and can inspect them if something looks weird20:56
@fungicide:matrix.orgi'll go ahead and approve it, i'm around to unrevert if things go sideways again20:58
-@gerrit:opendev.org- Zuul merged on behalf of Dr. Jens Harbott: [opendev/zuul-providers] 977863: Revert "Disable rax-ord and rax-iad" https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/zuul-providers/+/97786321:03
@fungicide:matrix.orgwatching to see if that stuck periodic-weekly build comes unstuck21:04
@clarkb:matrix.orghttps://zuul.opendev.org/t/openstack/nodeset-requests shows the nodes for the stuck request are in a building state right now21:06
@clarkb:matrix.organd the build just started21:16
@fungicide:matrix.orgi saw, as suspected21:16
@fungicide:matrix.orgso i think that mostly answers the stuck node request question21:17
@fungicide:matrix.orgunrelated, i've approved the gitea on trixie change21:17
@fungicide:matrix.orgi'll also approve the lists.o.o waf change and keep an eye on that, there shouldn't be any effective overlap21:19
@clarkb:matrix.orgsounds good21:19
@fungicide:matrix.orgthe latest tuesday meeting listed on https://meetings.opendev.org/ is openstack's scientific sig which would in theory be in progress right now, but it looks like they haven't used that slot for almost 4 years now so we could also upgrade limnoria at our convenience21:22
@clarkb:matrix.orgfungi: the lists change appears to be failing in the gate. But I don't understand why21:44
@fungicide:matrix.orgyeah, `test_ara` in our testinfra battery for bridge99 exited nonzero21:45
@fungicide:matrix.org`ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'health_check.db'`21:46
@fungicide:matrix.orgwe can take our time debugging that if it's recurrent. in the meantime i'll approve the limnoria upgrade instead21:56
@clarkb:matrix.orgworks for me21:58
@jim:acmegating.comOver the weekend I saw nodes stuck in a deleting state according to openstack, not zuul. Meaning zuul issued a delete call but openstack did not delete the instances.22:00
@jim:acmegating.comJust want to make it clear that to detect the problem I had to get server detail from the cloud.22:02
@fungicide:matrix.orgcorvus: thanks for clarifying, sounds like Jens Harbott may have been looking at something else on the openstack side, or looked after it had cleared up22:02
@jim:acmegating.comYeah if they eventually went away then the cloud problem may have resolved itself.22:03
@fungicide:matrix.orgcorvus: also not sure if you were following along, but we had one remaining stuck node request from the weekend (b55447cd1dd54df0a7cadfd62fa63a4d for 3x ubuntu-jammy nodes) waiting on a request from rax-ord which was disabled, and once we reenabled that provider the request was completed22:10
@fungicide:matrix.orgmore specifically, it was fulfilled, and the build that had been waiting on it for days finally started running22:11
@clarkb:matrix.orgI half wonder if the gitea job is going to fail on the ara problem too22:14
@clarkb:matrix.orgwe will find out soon enough22:14
@fungicide:matrix.orglooks like the testinfra failures on 974933 hit both system-config-run-base and system-config-run-lists3 in identical ways22:14
@fungicide:matrix.organd indeed it did22:23
@fungicide:matrix.orgi guess i know what i'll be digging into tomorrow22:23
@clarkb:matrix.orgI'm guessing ara updated and something we checked for is no longer present or its name changed or something22:23
@clarkb:matrix.orgI may be able to take a look at it after this meeting I have ina few minutes22:24
@fungicide:matrix.orgright, the traceback is a little hard to read the way it's serialized in the output but it's trying to do something in the context of a django app22:24
@clarkb:matrix.orgoh its running the migrate command which is what converts it to all of the html files iirc22:25
@clarkb:matrix.orgso that we can host it statically22:25
@clarkb:matrix.orgNo new ara releases since December23:15
@clarkb:matrix.orglet me see if I can make the traceback more readable23:15
@fungicide:matrix.orgyeah, i expect one of its dependencies changed out from under it23:26
@clarkb:matrix.orgdjango-health-check released yesterday and appears to supply the health_check app for django. I suspect this is the source of the issue23:27
@clarkb:matrix.orglooks like django-health-check 4.0 and newer dropped health_check.db23:28
@clarkb:matrix.orgI'll work on a patch to cap that dep23:28
-@gerrit:opendev.org- Clark Boylan proposed: [opendev/system-config] 977897: Cap django-health-check for ara installations https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/system-config/+/97789723:32
@clarkb:matrix.orgThat is running the base job which should cover the current failure case23:34
@clarkb:matrix.organd that passes so I think this should get things moving again23:54
