-@gerrit:opendev.org- Riccardo Pittau proposed: [openstack/project-config] 1000299: Set default-branch for metal3 GitHub projects https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/project-config/+/100029908:00
-@gerrit:opendev.org- yatin proposed on behalf of Nicolas Hicher https://matrix.to/#/@nhicher:matrix.org: [zuul/zuul-jobs] 959393: Refactor: multi-node-bridge to use linux bridge https://review.opendev.org/c/zuul/zuul-jobs/+/95939312:27
@fungicide:matrix.org`/var/cache/apache2` on `mirror03.dfw.rax` is around 60gb today with the region back in active rotation, so i think the increased htcacheclean frequency may be helping. but it's also possible that some specific jobs were blowing it out on friday and aren't being exercised at the moment14:08
@fungicide:matrix.orgi checked it a few times over the weekend, but the situation was as you'd expect during low activity times14:09
@clarkb:matrix.orgit was pretty apparent when it was unhappy. We probably just continue to monitor and if it continues to function then great14:40
@fungicide:matrix.orgi'm taking a quick lunch out, should return in under an hour15:18
-@gerrit:opendev.org- Clark Boylan proposed:15:28
- [opendev/system-config] 1000347: Correct lists anubis metrics port config https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/system-config/+/1000347
- [opendev/system-config] 1000348: Upgrade Anubis to 1.27.0 https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/system-config/+/1000348
@clarkb:matrix.orginfra-root I'm going to propose that we use ~September 29, 30, and October 1 for Pre PTG activities. I'm also starting to put an agenda together here: https://etherpad.opendev.org/p/opendev-preptg-202609 I am hoping that is late enough that it doesn't conflict with summer/winter vacations, but if those dates are problematic let me know and we'll find another timeframe15:50
@clarkb:matrix.orgAnil Belur: I know you had questions about this ^ so you may be interested in reviewing that. As mentioned it is not super formal. Its just some dedicated time to get together and focus on things that maybe we've been putting off and need to catch back up on etc vs the normal day to day15:51
@fungicide:matrix.orgClark: sounds great schedule-wise, thanks! i expect to be around that week so no conflicts from my perspective16:30
@clarkb:matrix.orgAnil Belur: ok I've reviewed the nftables change. Let me know if anything I wrote is confusing or needs clarification17:34
@clarkb:matrix.orgI need to send the meeting agenda today for tomorrow's meeting. I don't think anyone has created a new matrix room for that yet and not sure I'll get to it today. Given that I think we'll have the meeting on IRC one more (hopefully just one more) time17:48
@fungicide:matrix.orgi have not yet either, sorry :/17:50
-@gerrit:opendev.org- Clark Boylan proposed: [opendev/system-config] 1000367: Add optional wait condition to selenium screenshot utility https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/system-config/+/100036719:02
@clarkb:matrix.orgif that works we may want to expand it to lists (though lists doesn't this issue to the same degree)19:03
@jim:acmegating.comi'm making a matrix room now20:11
@jim:acmegating.comOkay #opendev-meeting:opendev.org exists20:13
@clarkb:matrix.orgack thanks. I'll make sure the meeting location is updated in the email agenda20:17
@clarkb:matrix.orgwe'll just need to add the bot to the room before the meeting as well right?20:19
-@gerrit:opendev.org- James E. Blair https://matrix.to/#/@jim:acmegating.com proposed: [opendev/system-config] 1000376: Add matrix-eavesdrop to new #opendev-meeting room https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/system-config/+/100037620:25
@jim:acmegating.comyep20:26
@jim:acmegating.comthen probably some doc updates to point ppl at the right place20:26
@jim:acmegating.comanything else before i sign out of the admin account?20:26
@clarkb:matrix.orgI think that is it. I've approved the change to update the matrix-eavesdrop config20:27
@clarkb:matrix.orgI'll update the wiki and look for other docs that indicate irc currently20:27
-@gerrit:opendev.org- Clark Boylan proposed: [opendev/system-config] 1000377: Update docs to indicate meetings happen on Matrix now https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/system-config/+/100037720:32
@clarkb:matrix.orgwiki has been updated and ^ should cover the entry that codesearch finds20:32
@clarkb:matrix.organd I think the agenda itself is fairly put together at this point. Let me know if there are any other edits to make before I send that out. Probably in the next half hour or so20:34
@jim:acmegating.com+2 on 37720:38
@jim:acmegating.comwhere is https://meetings.opendev.org/ ?20:38
@clarkb:matrix.orgoh thats in the yaml2ical stuff somewhere20:39
@clarkb:matrix.orgI wonder why that didn't show up in codesearch20:39
@jim:acmegating.comoh i found it i can make a patch20:39
@clarkb:matrix.orgcorvus: opendev/irc-meetings20:39
@clarkb:matrix.orgthanks20:39
-@gerrit:opendev.org- James E. Blair https://matrix.to/#/@jim:acmegating.com proposed: [opendev/irc-meetings] 1000378: Update opendev meeting location https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/irc-meetings/+/100037820:45
@clarkb:matrix.orgthe gitea screenshot delay thing appears to work so now I'll look at finding a similar thing we can check for on lists20:46
@clarkb:matrix.orgcorvus: quick comment/question on https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/irc-meetings/+/100037820:47
-@gerrit:opendev.org- Clark Boylan proposed: [opendev/system-config] 1000379: Add selenium wait conditions to lists screenshots https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/system-config/+/100037920:58
@clarkb:matrix.orgcorvus: thanks for the clarification I should use a wider window next time I guess :) also looks like `irc` is treated as a required value so it is breaking testing currently20:59
@jim:acmegating.comyeah apparently yaml2ical is another program in another repo21:00
-@gerrit:opendev.org- James E. Blair https://matrix.to/#/@jim:acmegating.com proposed: [opendev/yaml2ical] 1000380: Add Matrix meeting support https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/yaml2ical/+/100038021:09
-@gerrit:opendev.org- James E. Blair https://matrix.to/#/@jim:acmegating.com proposed: [opendev/irc-meetings] 1000378: Update opendev meeting location https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/irc-meetings/+/100037821:09
@clarkb:matrix.orgcorvus: I left a question on https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/yaml2ical/+/1000380 about the impact to existing irc meetings21:15
@clarkb:matrix.orgalso looks like irc-meetings may not properly install yaml2ical from zuul source (depends-on didn't work and the old error remains)21:16
@clarkb:matrix.orgwe can probably ignore the depends on issue for now21:17
@clarkb:matrix.orgcorvus: ok I think I see why the test case is failing and the disambiguation seems fine to me. Just wanted to make sure that was intentional in the ical files21:27
@clarkb:matrix.orgI left a comment about the test failure and apossible solution21:27
@clarkb:matrix.orgfungi: I'm reviewing the lists screenshots and see that if anubis doesn't end up in the screenshot some of the screenshots show errors. Tracing that to the log I think the problem is here: https://zuul.opendev.org/t/openstack/build/6245ce73917b420a949c59acf3db10d5/log/lists99.opendev.org/mailman-web-logs/mailmanweb.log#63 it seems like the mailman3 web test deployment doesn't know about sites other that lists.opendev.org so looking at archives for lists.openinfra.org or lists.openstack.org or trying to sign into one of those other two sites fails with those linked traceback21:34
@clarkb:matrix.orgfungi: is there some step in the test env that we did manually in the prod deployment that we are not doing in testing? Any other ideas that may explain it?21:35
@clarkb:matrix.orgfungi: based on the tracebacks I'm guessing this is a django level issue with django seeing a request for domain lists.openstack.org and it not having a record of that domain in its config21:36
-@gerrit:opendev.org- James E. Blair https://matrix.to/#/@jim:acmegating.com proposed: [opendev/yaml2ical] 1000380: Add Matrix meeting support https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/yaml2ical/+/100038021:40
@jim:acmegating.comClark: thanks!21:40
@clarkb:matrix.orgok I'm going to send the meeting agenda email wtih matrix as the location as that should work now and we can figure out all these docs up dates as we go21:42
@clarkb:matrix.orgcorvus: I see the use of some de morgans law21:43
-@gerrit:opendev.org- James E. Blair https://matrix.to/#/@jim:acmegating.com proposed: [opendev/yaml2ical] 1000380: Add Matrix meeting support https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/yaml2ical/+/100038022:01
@jim:acmegating.comlol at that fix ^ :)22:01
@fungicide:matrix.orgokay sorry, was in meetings for the past two hours but i'm catching back up now and will respond to the nick highlights in a few minutes22:04
-@gerrit:opendev.org- Clark Boylan proposed: [opendev/system-config] 1000379: Add selenium wait conditions to lists screenshots https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/system-config/+/100037922:05
@fungicide:matrix.orgClark: it's possible something has changed in a mailman update since we deployed, the original deployment already had to do a weird dance setting `SITE_ID` and then resetting it after setup, maybe that no longer works the same way it did before22:07
@clarkb:matrix.orgfungi: all I see us doing is turning off the site guessing then turing it back on in ansible22:09
@fungicide:matrix.orgoh, actually there was a manual step in the django admin interface that had no equivalent api i could find, i think i documented it, just a sec22:10
@fungicide:matrix.orgmmm, i'm not finding it but there's a place in the django admin interface where you create sites and then associate them with domains22:12
@fungicide:matrix.orgmaybe i made a code comment, checking22:12
@clarkb:matrix.orgI seem to recall this happening which is why I thought it could be related. But ya I'm wondering if we just need to try and configure that step in the ci runs to get the error to go away22:18
@fungicide:matrix.orgi'm going to have to do some heavy spelunking from 3-4 year old mailing list posts i made22:19
@fungicide:matrix.orgthere's a site/domain linking that happens in the database which we could poke records in directly for i think, but i recall bringing it up on mailman-users and there was no api call that could do it22:21
@fungicide:matrix.orgvery weird, i can find messages in my sent mail that i sent for this thread on the mailman-users mailing list over the course of december 2022 through february 2023, but i can't find them in the public archive on mailman3.org at all22:50
@fungicide:matrix.orgokay here we go, just wasn't in the chronological index for some reason: https://lists.mailman3.org/archives/list/mailman-users@mailman3.org/thread/QWD5K6O5RHIVVKK5FUAWQS2VLF4PJMQT/22:53
@fungicide:matrix.orgso it sounds like the only option on the table for automating that step was to write a python script reverse-engineered from the mailman source code, and in the interest of expediency i did that step for each domain manually through the webui instead22:59
@clarkb:matrix.organd its probably been the case that these screenshots haven't worked since ever22:59
@clarkb:matrix.orgwhich is fine just making sure there isn't a regression from anubis (I don't think there is)22:59
@fungicide:matrix.orghere we go, it's "Add Django Site and Postorius Mail Host" in https://etherpad.opendev.org/p/r.6e7ce02ac3ca776c38ad988b070f079d#L9823:04
@fungicide:matrix.orgi'll get that into our docs for now23:06
-@gerrit:opendev.org- Jeremy Stanley https://matrix.to/#/@fungicide:matrix.org proposed: [opendev/system-config] 1000395: Document domain creation for Mailman https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/system-config/+/100039523:24
@clarkb:matrix.orgfungi: thanks. I +2'd but did have a question about one of the steps there (we may be automatiing some of it which can simplify the docs if so)23:59
