ayhanilhan | Hi, | 07:09 |

ayhanilhan | I use zed version and i have error in tempest.scenario.test_shelve_instance.TestShelveInstance.test_shelve_volume_backed_instance test in tempest tests. | 07:09 |
ayhanilhan | It can connect to instance but cannot create timestamp. This is why most scenario tests fail. | 07:09 |

ayhanilhan | Anyone have an idea about this? | 07:09 |
ayhanilhan | Regards, | 07:09 |
melwitt | ayhanilhan: there's a fair chance it's related to this recent change https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/tempest/+/884804 and that test must not be running in the tempest gate :( I'm guessing the volume snapshot isn't copying the /tmp dir over, so when the instance boots from the snapshot it can't find the timestamp file it wrote | 07:45 |
melwitt | gmann: ^ | 07:45 |
melwitt | gmann: feel free to revert it for now. I'm not immediately sure the best way to fix it after that ... maybe add a target_dir kwarg that defaults to /tmp but then have tests involving volume snapshots pass target_dir='/mnt'? I dunno | 07:51 |
ayhanilhan | Thanks. | 11:27 |
