elodillesinterestingly i have a strange sound issue :-/ 1st I only heard Dan, not the other speakers... but after a couple of retries / reconnects i don't hear anyone :(16:20
ttxelodilles: try another browser maybe16:29
elodillesi've tried chromium, google-chrome and firefox as well :(16:29
elodilles"but it worked in the past" :/16:30
ttxmaybe try the jitsi app on your phone16:30

ttx(you will have to switch servers to
fungii've been struggling mightily with audio devices until i discovered pavucontrol16:31
funginow i set all the numerous audio devices in my system to disabled except the usb headset i've plugged in, and then the browser finds just the one i want to use16:32
elodillesoh, there's an app. okay. i'll maybe try that. anyway, don't bother with me, trying to follow the meeting on the pad until something works...16:32
elodillesfungi: the interesting thing is that the sound works but always only for one person (now i hear only ttx)... so it's probably not sound settings16:33
ttxyeah you can add your question sin there, I'm trying to take all motes16:33
ttxhearing only me sounds like a feature16:33
elodillescool, thanks!16:33
fungithe fact that this system has audio devices for hdmi, built-in analog and digital interfaces, one integrated into a usb hub... seems to confuse the heck out of audio device detection for both firefox and chromium16:34
ttxis the phone better?16:47
elodillesat least i hear everyone \o/16:47
clarkbyou can locally mute people in your web browser client which could explain why you only hear one person. However, I doubt that is what happens here because by default they are set to whatever the other client's mute value is16:48

clarkband our server doesn't allow p2p iirc which could be another explanation16:48
fungiyes, it seems more likely to be something related to nat traversal, state tracking, et cetera16:49
fungiassuming each audio stream is a separate socket and not multiplexed16:50
clarkbfungi: I think they are separate if you allow p2p but I'm pretty sure we disabled that as it requires another service to negotiate where and what to connect to between clients. Not sure if the centralized mode aggregates itno a single stream or not16:50
ttxelodilles: we can discuss it at release meetign tomorrow17:00
ttxAt first glance I'd say it has limited implications17:01
ttxgot to run, more tomorrow17:01
elodillesttx: sure, we can discuss it tomorrow on the meeting o/17:02
elodillesconsidering others were not complaining about not hearing everyone i guess the problem is at my end... anyways, hearing only one person to speak... that's an odd problem... :S17:13
elodilles(and of course on my phone it worked well...)17:14
elodillesnow i have at least a couple of weeks to debug until the PTG :)17:14
