vishysoren: ip addr add 169.254.169.254/32 scope link dev xxx on the gateway works btw05:25

mtaylorjaypipes: yup.19:43
mtaylorjaypipes: gimme just a sec19:43
termiejaypipes: the packages have the dependency on sphinx already, so it is beign installed regardless of whether they are a dev setup or not19:43
jaypipestermie: sure, understood.19:43
jaypipestermie: hmm, I lost you on that last one...there should be no need at all for a package (deb or rpm) to have sphinx as a requirement for regular installation.19:44
termiejaypipes: when you try to install it via pip when we setup the virtualenv for nova, no such dependencies are being loaded (because none are specified) so glance fails if we try to install it before sphinx has been isntalled19:44
termiejaypipes: agreed, the point is that it is a dependency right now so things have been working19:44
termiejaypipes: and since setup.py imports sphinx it _is_ a dependency19:44

openstackhudsonTarmac: Add a host argument to virt drivers's init_host method. It will be set to the name of host it's running on.23:27
openstackhudsonMake libvirt's init_host method go and look at what virtual machines are running when the compute worker starts up.23:27
openstackhudsonThis ensures firewalls are set up correctly for existing VM's. It also enables easier rolling upgrades.23:27

openstackhudsonProject nova build #459: SUCCESS in 1 min 31 sec: http://hudson.openstack.org/job/nova/459/23:42
openstackhudsonTarmac: This branch updates docs to reflect the db sync addition.  It additionally adds some useful errors to nova-manage to help people that are using old guides.  It wraps sqlalchemy errors in generic DBError. Finally, it updates nova.sh to use current settings.23:42

vishythat's five to ten23:46
JordanRinkeI stated, and correct me if I am wrong but base images won't be stored in qcow format.23:46
*** adiantum has joined #openstack23:47
JordanRinkethe qcow image is the difference of a raw image23:48
JordanRinkehmm23:48
vishyRight now the image is downloaded raw into base and a cow image is made on top of it23:48
vishyso correct23:48
JordanRinkeIn the convo I was saying he wouldnt need a qcow descriptor but thinking about it now, people might want to store a layered config23:49
JordanRinkealso, I jacked your _cache_image and _fetch_image functions for hyper-v :-D thx23:50
*** burris has quit IRC23:51
JordanRinkebut while doing that was curious if those should be pushed out to the images.py so that cow-ish functionality would be centralized23:51
