srdemircanHi everyone,11:08
srdemircanI wonder is there anyway to attach multiple network interfaces to baremetal node while using flat network interface? Basically I want to give a IP to my network interface after deployment other than provisioning network.11:08

TheJuliadtantsur: JayF: I'd like to have a call this week downloading artifacts from container registries. JayF has requested a demo as well which I'm happy to start off during a call15:19
TheJulia... When would be good?15:20
JayFI'm open this morning, tomorrow afternoon my time 15:20
TheJuliaI wouldn't mind this morning, because I was in a working state on Friday, all I should really need to do is: eat breakfast, walk the corgi before his glares burn through me, and forward ssh into my devstack VM so I can pull up a console15:23
TheJuliadtantsur: would you be available sometime in the next couple of hours after the top of the hour in 25 minutes?15:34
* TheJulia takes the corgi for his walk because the power of the corgi side eye compells15:35
* dtantsur still checking his schedule15:36
dtantsurTheJulia: I'm available for a couple of hours from now15:37
TheJuliadtantsur: ack, I’ll forward the port when I get back with the dog15:44
TheJuliaJayF: in like 9 minutes work?15:52
JayFsure, but I didn't think dtantsur was available for a couple hours15:52
TheJuliaI interpretted it as available during the next few hours15:53
JayFeither way WFM15:53
dtantsurWFM too15:53
TheJuliaokay15:55
TheJuliacool15:55
TheJuliahttps://meet.google.com/zgu-jmhp-qjh16:00
TheJuliadtantsur: JayF ^^^16:01
JayFMaking a cup of Joe and then I'll be there16:02
masgharI'm trying to remember if I committed to doing something docs-related in the epoxy cycle last PTG (see https://etherpad.opendev.org/p/ironic-ptg-october-2024#L519): I recall a docs review task, but this doesnt seem to be it?16:06
masgharOr is this it and it was much more CI-related and the holidays have made me forget16:07
JayFI think that was more about sharing context16:10
JayFon how to troubleshoot CI16:10
JayFso it wasn't always the most senior folks digging when something systemmatic was busted16:10
JayFTheJulia: I worry about this + eventlet: https://github.com/indygreg/python-zstandard/issues/244 otherwise the lib looks like it'd be reasonable to put in g-r16:19
masgharJayF, ack, I must recall incorrectly if its not in the notes16:23
JayFwell, the best result would be "we now document this stuff"16:24
JayFbut the goal was about spreading CI context, spoecifically for the line 519 stuff16:24
dtantsurJayF: if it's only about sharing decompressor objects, we might be fine.. depending on how requests use them16:28
cardoeMy reminder about the Ironic meetings dropped off. Sorry I missed.16:36
masghar(JayF: yep, that would indeed be good)16:36
cardoeI owe you some reviews and feedback on the OCI bits Julia.16:37
cardoeI'm trying to convince OVN on a neutron network node to participate in a VXLAN fabric of physical switches.16:37
cardoeJust been very head down in that.16:37
JayFLatest GR-OSS out featuring me + TheJulia just landed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MY67pEd3qjg (vid) / https://podcast.gr-oss.io/7-oss-foundations (audio)16:50
TheJuliacardoe: happy to chat in high bandwidth at some point regarding current status, since last week I did succeed with deploying out of an OCI registry17:03
JayFhttps://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/ironic-python-agent/+/937743 re: ironic-lib reviews, this one already has 1x+2 so if we can get another on it, we'll be halfway there17:22
cardoeTheJulia: yeah I want to. Just some deadlines given to me that are my mental driver right now.19:53
TheJuliano worries! Totally  understand! :)20:29
cardoeJust a bit random cause I keep running into issues with RAID. Do folks normally pre-create the hardware RAID configuration before hand in a clean step. And then just assume that class of hardware has that RAID or do they create the RAID in the deploy step?20:31
cardoeThe hardware RAID creation is a bit slow in the deploy. And I also think I've set the wrong priority (I don't really know where to stick it relative to the other steps cause I can't really see what steps are running).20:32
cardoeSo just played with the idea of creating the RAID as part of clean. But I also have an ordering issue there.20:32
cardoeMaybe the answer is I need a custom hardware agent in IPA20:32
cardoeIt's not really clear from all the docs what the "best" approach should be cause I cannot get info to weigh pros and cons.20:33
cardoeI'd definitely look to provide some improvements to the docs here.20:33
opendevreviewcid proposed openstack/ironic master: API: Inspection rules migration  https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/ironic/+/91830321:25
* cid apologies in advance, I will be trying to split a change in three for the first time in gerrit, so, might be making some noise for a while (here).21:57
opendevreviewcid proposed openstack/ironic master: API: Inspection rules migration  https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/ironic/+/91830322:01
TheJuliacardoe: if memory serves, you want a number around 80. I think one of the docs covers it, but on-deploy time does take longer of course. The recommended course is to generally clean before deploying with the raid configuration asserted22:03
